  • Edwards is the man...

  • na na na na na na na .....

  • Ahhh, it's got that that signature Chic sound. You can tell this was produced by those guys. They produced classic (and classy) disco in an era where many tried to get away with junk just because their songs had a dance beat.

  • Ah yes. Will Smith, you fucking suck.

  • gta 4 tbogt :)

  • love this song

  • Bring back disco. There is a market for it.

  • frisco.

  • welcome to miami.....wait.

  • All I think of when I hear this song is Gay Tony.. hahahahaha

  • Oh What WOW !!!! What's that's supposed to mean ?

  • This song sounds just like "Will Smith - Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" (watch?v=3JcmQONgXJM)

  • @LetUsShineTogether Heathen! You are not the greatest commentator.

  • @joncmorley YES !,he is......if that`s ok with you.....

  • @LetUsShineTogether Will Smith used this track for his song ;)

  • Such a great song.

  • Pointer Sisters had more singing talent. They could sing any type of genre and sing it well. All members of Pointers had incredible voice, plus they had catchier material given to them. Sister Sledge had the look and a very good singer in Kathy. The other three were good but not very good.

  • @DeeNice681 Though I love th Pointers I beg to differ that the other Sledges were not very good singers ...check out the youtube video Sister Sledge -Home (1983)

  • It's too bad that Sister Sledge weren't more successful than The Pointer Sisters. I liked Sister Sledge better. I ask y'all: What Happened?

  • @kja427 Same here

  • I miss the days when people went to the disco/club and actually danced together. I realised I was "old" the night I was out with some friends and tried to dance with a young man and he walked away. What a shame.

  • The dislike bar is Justin Bieber's dick.

  • @electrobussterr wow, people are still saying that? That's so last year.

  • @polishcomedy

Okay totally up to date guy/girl ;-)

  • Tony Thompson on Drums, Bernard Edwards on Bass & Nile Rodgers on Guitar = one of the tightest rhythm sections of all time!!!

  • What a GROOVE!

  • what talent and beauty these women were! now you have garbage like Benoyce and Lady gaga! what classy women they were!

  • Who is that guy at the end?

  • @obdiane... Loved that album and still have the original from those days

  • This looks more like an exercise video...but this song was a great one!

  • Get Jiggy with this, Will Smith!

  • The 70s magic!

  • This song always reminds me of the young "Off the Wall" album Micheal Jackson ..the songs came out around the same time. Love it.

  • SHIT THIS IS GOOD

    saudade!

  • golden time... the 70´s

  • Ah, Nile Rogers. What a dude!

  • Back in the days disco wasn't considered serious music. Not even music. Now that we have the privilege of perspective, we can say, it was great.

  • Back then sexiness was mystery, and the ice cool air of being unattainable. These days anything goes. The singers give the impression they will even sleep with the fans.....it's sick!

  • chicken little brought me here

  • This is so HOT. Sister Sledge has got it going on. Beauty, charm and poise. The ramblin guitar is too cold and the music is TOTAL MAGIC> Timeless and FAB!!

    Lovin it

  • thumbs up if you're gettin jiggy wit it

  • Wow the last 3 70's music videos that I saw in a row were all ripped by Will Smith. Obviously Mr Smith is not the most original producer.

  • @neuroplastixxx Well he is not actually a producer. He is a MC/Rapper. HipHop/Rap music is built on samples, from the originators like Kool Herc and African Bambaataa to the present day Kanye West. When its done well, it can be a revelation. However a lot of HipHop producers/beat makers are very lazy. Sampling can be a very creative artform. Albums like Public Enemy's 'It Takes A Nation...' and 'Paul's Boutique' by The Beastie Boys are examples of how creative it can be.

  • @neuroplastixxx That said, while I'm no music snub, I sometimes feel that the classics should be left alone. I'm an 80's kid, and I hate hearing butchered versions of the music I grew up with.

  • How could you not love the talent, beauty and positive message?

  • Big track! Check my channel for soulful disco remix of it! Free download! Subscribe to get all my new remixes free! :)

  • 2 words....REAL MUSIC!!!! <3

  • I bought this album when it came out. That rhythm guitar hook still kills me.

Is that Jeffrey Daniels as The World's Greatest Dancer?

  • The Singers of the 70's were simply GREAT No Need for elaborate or sexualy revealing costumes like some of the present day performers.

  • @bee52mitch agreed! THIS IS MUSIC! not the BULLSHIT lady gaga and justin bieber and techon and rap crap nowadays! the world has gone to pits now, even the music is rubbish nowadays

  • @jewishclassics I totally agree. Not just music, is it? the whole world seems so messed up these days. People have priorities wrong, no principles, no manners, nothing,. just NO class at all....

  • @GibbyGibbyGibb You took the words right out of my mouth. I couldnt agree with you more.

  • @bee52mitch

    I totally agree with you! : )

  • @bee52mitch agree - her smile has me hooked :o

  • 39 ppl are the worst dancers in Maisonette 9...

  • to the world sexy black women are always sexier than sexy white women

  • @PVSJuicer Correct

  • @MrVeesWorld nail on head....compared to their parents generation who had to fight battles that blow my mind, the youth of today have little class, no patience, no respect. I think I know why, its because great music comes from suffering, the youth of today have it all and its been reflected in the music of black america, the latest iteration of new music that has touched the world is techno, frustrated intelligent black youth from chic&detroit that put soul into machines and changed the world.

  • @PVSJuicer That is right!!!

  • love the way these simple old videos dont detract from the amazing talent..unlike todays cgi flip flopping tedium..

  • i´m the greatest dancer!

GREAT BAT-WINGS GIRLS - YOU CAN HEAR THE MUSIC FROM THERE SLEEVES WITH THE SOUND OFF LOL

  • Kathy is a really under rated singer.

  • I GOT THIS FROM GTA IV...but this ownz!!!!!!

  • Oh my God they sing and dance with such grace, ..WOW

  • "We Are Family" was the bigger hit, but this was the better song.

We all know that Will Smith sampled this on "Gettin' Jiggy with You". When "Jiggy" first came out, B96 in Chicago used to mash them up during the At Work Dance Party.

  • Yeah it was classy back then when white producers had the power. Black preformers were made to act in a way that would be pleasing to the white majority who was listening to this music and buying the records. When black producers came around and gained power of a piece of the music industry the transition came around to angy black rap music. That was the end of well behaved young black preformers. Not criticizing just saying the truth.

  • Rap music came out as a middle finger to the establishment and to those who were afraid of what black people could do or say if they were no longer muzzled by the music industry. Rap music even had restraints though. Its more of a generational thing imo. If you compare the rappers and r&b singers of today to those of the 80s and before, the attitude differences are like night and day.

  • @parkay301 Thats true. The music industry like every other industry is only interested in selling a product. What ever mood the consumer is in thats what they market.

  • that girls really cute. i like those light colored girls

  • @YourMCfriend 'We are family' must be one of the finest albums of the 20th century. Right up there with 'Songs in the key of life' for me.
