Legacy of Kain: Defiance - I love this fighting system

The promise was very strong when we play as Kain in the Stronghold and those epic fights, we get really excited. But then comes Raziel parts and they are pure repetition and frustation.

A cool game over all but I did have a few gripes. First, the camera just out right SUCKS! Many times I would find myself falling off ledges or missing jumps because the camera angle did not give a good enough view to gauge distance. And maybe it's me but I found Kain handled much better than Raziel in combat. Most of the time Raziel's various techniques just didn't work and I would just end up beating all the enemies down with no finesse.

@sacreou: the story itself was cool (if you could catch all of it!); what I didn't like was the way they made Raziel a total fag at the end. Sorry for the homophobic reference but there is no other way to put it. The very last scene looks like Raziel is on his knees blowing Kain. BTW, I'm almost done with Blood Omen 2. Just have to beat the Saraphin Lord. THAT GAME IS FUCKIN' AWESOME! (and I hate using the word Awesome...lol!)

Exactly, LOK saga has been always at the top of graphics, but personally i think that the key of a good vg is the story, always, and a fine and fun gameplay.

Defiance has plenty of that, specially playing like Kain & Raziel ^^

I also think I remember a place where you put a heart item on a pedestal and you move some creates to block air steams. There's one on the left and one on the right of the heart. you should first move the one with the two steaming holes. Then us TK on a button. Then the other one and something happens. That's what I remember about air reaver

hold on, take it easy... Do you mean getting the Air Reaver in Defiance with Raziel?? You have to move a block then a TK aim thing is behind it which you can activate. The block then gets stuck, so then you can move the other block and then the middle thing will burst out air. You can put the Reaver inside it and fly up...

oh, so you are already fighting the Pillar guardians?? oh then I think I know what your problem is, when you have defeated the first Pillar Guardian then there is a passage next to the tomb. Follow the path and you will find the other Guardian

oooooooooo, so you haven't been in the air forge yet. After you have passed through the bronze gate then there will be a pillar with the spectral logo on it. Jump on it in material and then switch to spectral. You then can get up...

Kicking all that ass midair was pretty awsome, but I like the SR2 system best. Where you held the autoface button and rotated around your enemies, that was great for dodging and stuff :P
