Hey, great vid!! I too am Chuck alumnist. I would like to reiterate the "tension -RELEASE" idea.
Where you throw the stroke, then relax the muscle in between, sometimes getting another stroke while relaxing. (you explain it better than I) That has been the secret to speed for me.
This actually helps a lot... I had an ankle injury a few years ago and these will help get my left foot back where it was at its peak! Thanks! Heck, these will get both feet better, ha!
This video is brilliant! I want to have it on my iPhone/iPad. Is that possible. I wanna download it. I m from malmoe Sweden by the way. Want to let you know your video is teaching drummers all over the world the proper way of using a pedal!
i hope this guy realises that his heel toe explanation is the same technique as the gravity blast, but its the foot version of it. alot of people dont realize that the strokes are the same as your hands. the faster stuff is with the ankle (wrist) and slower stuff with the full leg (arm). if you think of it that way your technique will get better.
Damn dude! wher do u get alllll this info from??! some site or did u just guess it by urself?? coz if u did u really shud think abt writin a book or summin..!! Seriously..!
True! Finally , for sure best explained how to this types of motions. "aotbk1" not only know how to do it but he also know how to explain it. Thank you very much.
Great lesson, I have been struggling with heal-toe for a long time (I have watched pretty much every video on youtube about it with marginal success and relying on slides and mostly just hammering the crap out of my pedal lol), after watching this video I finally figured out the correct motion and it is FINALLY working for me. ThanX a ton for the vid!

Should you practice without the spring or with the spring once you figured out the technique?
Seems like it is harder to use the technique once you pu the spring back on? Any tips what to do while practising?
