I want to make the rainbow with my nephew's name on it but unsure how i go about it. I know you use wire inside the fondant to give the rainbow stability an shape, but how do you make the letters, what are they made from and how would i get the letters to stick to the fondant??

How did you get the rainbow to stand up??

i dont get it. why would you put SO MUCH effort in a kid's birthday that he wouldnt even remember? he doesnt even realize how cool the cake is. now my mom doesnt even bake me cakes she buys those too-much-choclate cakes :(

@bakanekoX3 Because I love making them happy ; ) And he does remember it - he'll always have this video to look back on. He's not even my child - he's my daughter's cousin & he was sick at the time so I thought I would make it special for him. My mum never baked me cakes and always just bought my cakes which I still loved but this is something that I like doing ; ) Take care!

Hey Amy! Yes this is probably my hardest cake to make so far- but sooo worth it when it was finally finished!!!! You know when you put the final touches on & then breathe a sigh of relief (only to look around & realise how much cleaning up you have to do! hahaha!

Yes there was a lot of hard hours put into this cake- but you know what it gets like - you start a project & just want to see it finished! 2 days later & hardly any sleep it was done! But well worth it when the birthday boy saw it! - he just sat watching the cake most of the party - he's a mad Wiggle fan!

Yes it took days for all the dye colours on my hands to wash away! - Maybe I should start spraying colours on like you! It looks soooo hard to do properly - like getting it all even over the cake!
