I live in Helena, and was working for the Helena National Forest recording historic mining sites in the early 90s as an archaeologist, including up near Flesher Pass. Yep, I was very surprised to learn later that Ted K was arrested near there (his cabin was in the mountains between Flesher and Lincoln). Like you said, beautiful country!
I'd love to have roads like that!
