i agree with some of the other posters, you should use push sticks on some of your cuts. as for the vids on this box? i don't think Norm Abrams could have done a better job building it or illustrating it. great job. now i know what i'm making for my daughter for christmas. and when you stick your patterns down for cutting on the scrollsaw try using a spray adhesive.a light spray will hold the pattern down and a light sanding will get rid of any residue. i been doing that for years.

I have a serious question... why do you take so many risks with your hands near moving blades? I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm just curious to know. I've only been woodworking for 3-4 years and I've never see anyone with your skills take so many unnecessary risks. PLEASE start using push sticks and other safety measures. Nice work!

My next door neighbor has been woodworking for 44 years and lost half his finger 3 months ago, because he though he was better than push sticks.

You obviously have a great passion and good skills for woodworking but you are seriously going to get some inexperienced woodworker hurt. I've been woodworking for 40 years and don't think you need all of the guards and shields but push sticks are a must. Please use push sticks so that less experienced folks don't lose a finger!

lugging all those bricks around saves you the cost of having to go to the gym for weight lifting!

Nothing wrong with that "clamping" system at all. Do what you can, where you are, with what you have. Nice job on the box, BTW. I may be using some of these ideas for jewelry boxes myself. I have a bunch of nieces who will benefit.
