  • this tone is the same of Belzebos from Tenacious D

  • Every guitar is the same forget brand names.

  • It's a preset, may be between bank 10 and 14, preset A or B. If you can't get that tone may be that unit is using a wrong mode.

There are different modes for different recording or live needs. Some modes disable the cabinet emulator and the sound will change a lot.

To change the mode you need to press "config" (D+E) and then use the arrows.

Anyway, check the comments for the convenience to use that low range in a band situation.

  • I know that this is probably a dumb question but...I am looking at buying the v-amp pro. How did you get this sound out of it, exactly? i've tried playing on them a couple times and never got anyting that sounded this good before.

  • give me the settings to put on my v amp too :D

  • very bad

  • Ibanez RG 220???

  • sounds sweet, i'm thinking about buying this processor :D

  • does this thing have a drum button? If not, do you know if the second one does?

  • i have a behringer head that's 120 watts. can it get this sound?

  • @EVHstyle5150

I think that you can, if it has an emulator for Mesa Boogie (modern hi/gain or rectified hi/gain, can't remember)

  • sounds like a petrucci setting

  • @conorthealien Mesa Boogie emulation :D

  • i use behringer and i like it i like the sound it gives me plus it instea dof distortion mine has over drive which i love

  • All you haters shut the fuck up. That was some sick ass improv!

  • read the title!!!

    "testing"

    you fucking idiots

  • wow this is better then a v-amp 2 heavy sound..

  • this pedal suck

  • homeboy cant shread for shit

  • man this fella needs to improve his tone and playin style....stay off the metal.u'd do better..

    cheers!!!

  • @TathagataGM

What about this one ? watch?v=SUstFLabSRw

  • awful awful tone... way too much bass, very muddy it would never cut through a live or recorded mix well.

Leave the bass frequencies to the... umm Bass player!!!!

  • thts kinda hard considering the highest most metal goes is a D drop most is played in a B or an A to get the low sound. So its on purpose.

  • Okay there are a TON of metal bands that play standard and E flat tuning. If all you ever listen to is in Drop A then you really need to broaden your musical horizons. Even Drop Tuned metal needs mids. Otherwise your playing your guitar as if it was a bass. I'm sure the bass can do better.

  • Live that tone would be a muddy sucky mess. Don't believe me? Try it out. Well doubt you have a band so you cant do that but jam to a recording with that tone. Bet you cant hear yourself without turning wayyy up. Guitar = midrange instrument even if its detuned its dominate in the midrange. Scooping the mids and goosing the bass creates a muddy loose messy tone. No punch no grind, nothing but mush.

  • okay u may be right but u dont have to dis his sound because you dont like it plenty of people like this and most metal is in A and B and i said for the most part its highest is D not always and i have no mids in my playing its a prefered sound so if u dont like it dont trash it b/c many ppl do like it. the point of this was to be low not high thts his choice and i listen to MANY different styles of music i just prefer low tuned slow riffs. thts why im maggot for a slipknot fan.

  • what the fuck are you on about? metal can be where ever the hell it wants tuning wise ever heard of sylosis everything in E only down side to this vid is he's a bit sloppy

  • Qwerty is right. It sounds good on it'sown but in a BAND situation, it would only serve to muddy things up. The bass needs to be turned down substantially - and you would STILL get a bad ass tone.

  • @nemesisrogue 100% Agree

  • @nemesisrogue

insteresting fact i came across, dark tranquillity uses behringer v amp pros. IMO i think they have one of the tightest greatest tones out there

  • hey man can i play this with the speakers on my computer???

  • yes you can :-D

  • So you just hook the V-amp to your speakers and you're good to go? So you could do that with your headphones right?

  • nice guitar :)

  • i have this spider 3 amp 30 watts i want something for extra gain so is this good for that purpose apart from recording in which this thing is just insane!

    looking forward for the feedback

  • you have high gain emulations, for example think in mesa boogie and marshall emulations

  • hey, line6 spider 3's have rediculas amounts of gain, i highly doubt you would need extra gain. what style do you play?

  • Yes it does but in the crunch channel the gain is not enough to nail a jimmy page type of tone u know its good for the rhythm but not for lead and i usually play metal for which the line 6 spider is the best practice amp in that price!

  • take my advice....SELL THE LINE 6 SPIDER 3 and get something else....EVEN A RAVEN IS BETTER THAN THAT!! I MADE THAT MISTAKE!!!!

  • do you like that thing? and does it give much midrange?

  • I still like the unit, but not these demos. Look for the newer ones

  • nice man, really nice. keep it up

  • LOSER

  • sucks

  • what amp you use with it or is it just headphones or speakers?

  • i luv the sound of that deep strong bass sound...is that comin from the amp or from the FX pedal ??

  • No amp here. Look for "behringer v-amp".

  • how do you make that nice sound after 00:05, that high one?

  • It's an artificial harmonic

  • The efect was cool but it´s still missing some mid and a little bit less of gain

  • did you teach yourself how to play?

  • I did and I think that is a bad idea. Bad habits are hard to left.

  • noo, it's original. like, a different sense to the ear. you got any solos you made up? play em on youtube. could be the best stuff anybody ever heard

  • I see. Thanks. I don't like what I play in this video (3 years old). Now I'm playing more like you can see in myTelecaster video. Thanks anyway

  • Being self-taught is often a good thing man be proud. Great vid man

  • Hey, you play good for a self taught guitarist. Keep it up.

  • try to switch your amp to L2 config, check out my fade to black and master of puppets cover (the newest cause my oldest covers are in L1 config), and see ;)

  • from watching your other video and this one now i know that ibanez is good clean and in o.d.

  • i modified the cab settings by holding b and d simutaneously, i used the first distortion setting, adusted the eq as follows, lows at about 5 mids at 10 and highs at 3. than go back to the setting and turn up presance....one thing that helps too is if you put a boss ds1 pedal between the guitar and the v-amp

  • the v amp isnt that bad, its just like a cheaper version of a podxt

  • Oh my god, You seriously suck if you belive that !

Sure he was.. OK, but lol.

  • Lol, i was kidding. He sounded braggy. :P

  • Yea, and it sounded like shit to be honest.

  • hello, how can u activate the wah wah? do you have to push a button and then use the expressionpedal? ...sounds not that simple...

  • Using the FC1010 with this unit you only have to move the expression pedal to activate the wah, to deactivate it, you have to press the patch button again

  • mine served me well, eventually replaced it with a digitech GNX3000 which imo shits all over the pod ;D

  • I have this one.. It's fucking sick for the price! Just wanted to say it so many other guitarist can thinking getting this monster too, hehe :)!

  • BEHRINGER WILL KICK LINE ^ PRUCTS TO THE CURB,EVEN the Super Duper BOGNER MODDED CRAP,just A Bogner amp w/ LINE EFFECTS,SAME OLD THIN,Impossible to tweak a decent user patch,Product!

BEHRINGER and BUGERA RULE,just got my BUGERA 6262 Yesterday,VERY COOL!!LINE 6 SUX!I know I've GOTEN RID of A FEW of MY OWN!!

  • "The POD is much better then this"

This is what people say to justify spending twice as much on similar sounding equipment! Ha!

  • The POD is much better then this

  • They are all the way similar, I've had both and the Pod is maybe better at the Mesa distortions, nothing more.

  • This is what some people say but they sound all alike

  • hey dude how do u made that sound on 5 second?

  • It's an artificial harmonic

you can find a definition in wikipedia

  • look for pinch harmonics, and you'll find plenty of vids in here. PS nice vid. You're a good player man!

  • You're very good but can you help me?You are using the distortion on effect or use anything:boss,or digitech distortion?Thank you!

  • I'm using one of the presets of the behringer v-amp, nothing more

  • I hope you never Play that Preset in a Band, the Bassist will kill you.

  • well I simply can't use the same EQ that I'd use with a band when playing solo. If I remove the bass while I play solo it will sound weak. If I have to mix the sound with a band it's a different story.

  • I think the v-amp sounds muddy and loose... and the delay of preset switching isn't a good selling point either.

  • I think it's just a matter of taste. There is a lot of possible distorsions with this unit. A tube amp will retrict me to just one.

  • Maybe just the taste, but the distortio is so...Booring...

Maybe you should try to buy a tube amp :P

  • nice! heavy tones

  • IT's a factory preset. Look between banks 10 and 15

  • Yeah Nice :D Can you make a screen of the V-amp configuration (preset) :) ?

  • man i know you use patches, but how do you install them???

  • sounds awesome - I've got the V-Amp2 and it is an amazing piece of gear!

  • Yes, It's an Ibanez RG320

  • is that ibanez

  • cool
