  • What are the size's of the cymbal's used in the video?

  • I don't know wich one. All sound amazing

  • Got the Paiste Pst5 18" Rock Crash for just £79 and it sounds amazing! :D

  • The difference between the pst3 and the pst5 its huge!!!!! The giant beat series rocks!

  • dude i love the pst 5's

  • pasite 5

  • I've got a 17" crash and 20" ride in the 2002s, and PST5 hats. I'm thinking twenty series or just 2002 hats.

  • except for the signature model, all ride overtones sound so bad

  • The differences between the PST3 and PST5 crashes are ridiculous

  • paiste will never learn to make a good RIDE cymbal

all of them sounds too washy, without any definition

  • @Transcendium i love it.

  • @Transcendium dude, paiste signature blue bell. check it out.

  • snare sounds heavenly

  • where the hell are the paiste 101 cymbals? where are the paiste 201 cymbals?

  • @ajcf1995 They dont make those anymore

  • signature really nice sound and nice look

  • I just bought a Paiste 101 ride cymbal, it aint in this vid.

  • @ralf272 thats the cheapest and crappiest sounding cymbals that paiste has to offer... sorry to say it man but you should have bought at least pst5's or better (alphas, 2002's etc) pst3 and 101's just suck

  • @esmod89 Well it sounds better to me than a zildijan one I have tried out that without the stand cost 250 pounds and I got mine with stand for only 80 pounds, jokes on you.

  • Hi there, great video idea man

however is there any chance of you or anyone else making a video similar with Meinl Byzance cymblas ??

    cheers

  • @Paddymau5 Meinl have many individual series videos :)

  • @WinterWineStudio and better cymbals overall

  • Great video I must say, I was planning on going with some Sabian AAX's, but now I'm not sure, I got to look into Paiste.

  • What are does pst 5 the univsersal pack?

  • I play a mix of Sigs and Rudes, Have an old Innovations Ride I love. Nothing Beats my Sig 15" Fast Crash or my hats got them custom Signature Dark Crisp Top and Fat Rude bottom makes for a nice sound.

  • pst 5 are amazing for the price

  • I'm wishing to have a sound for deathcore with my cymbals. What cymbals and their sizes should I get if I give myself a max budget of around 800$ ? Thx :)

  • @MrStoner46 Meinl Classic Custom Extreme metal. Check these out the sounds really good for that style !

  • @junos6 OMG if I had the money for Meinl, I'd have no hesitation to go for it... But I'm thinking of getting the Paiste Alpha series. They're good for the price, that's what internet says! Fuck me, choosing your cymbals is hard stuff when you're poor.

  • TWENTY series

  • 1.2002

    2.RUDE

    3.Giant Beat

And I dont know why you didn't show chinas, splashes and percussive.

  • Nice Camera view :)

  • Pst 5s are surprisingly good for their price. I'd be happy with any of these setups (except maybe pst 3).

  • love the rudes!

  • They sound good - prepared to make the switch and explore someting new maybe xD

  • dark energy makes me piss my pants

  • all of them: the best sounding cymbals all over the world!

  • Die Twenty find ich cool und natürlich die Signature

  • My pst3 cymbal don't sound nearly as good in real

  • 2002 THE BEST !!!

  • @ADRNGZA I love the sound of the hats on 2002's

  • i think that for the advance drumer the best are alpha and 2002

  • Is this guy a robot?

  • @Johnnybv2112 Nope, just a badass.

  • I wish I had money... :(

  • I don't know why everybody likes zildjian and sabian paiste just as good

  • great sound on this video btw

  • the twenty's sounded awesome to me, alot of energy and punch, especially in the ride...but so far i havent seen one comment on them lol. looks like it was either mixed very well and its very cheap and quiet but been turned up in the mix OR its just awesome but more a personal preference i guess :)

  • Giant Beat.. nuff said.

  • hey guys!

PLEASE check out my channel, i do reviews of drums and other random videos :P

GO TO MY CHANNEL that would really be appreciated, and if you like it, subscribe!

THUMBS UP THIS COMMENT SO EVERYONE CAN SEE PLEASE!!!

  • all sound great even pst5 and pst3 they are cheaper but still have that great paiste sound

  • I really like the RUDE cymbals.. They sound so cool and thrashy.

  • Signature just sounds perfect!!

  • They aren't kidding when they refer to the Rude series as having an original Punk sound. Marky Ramone used those cymbals.

  • Paiste sounds cool.

  • it's a great sound. I gotta get those plates! good...

  • 2002 series are the best ;)

    love RUDE to ^^

  • Great job Josh and greetings from Germany !

  • Anyone else think the RUDE series are horrible and not for metal at all? Alphas are much more metal-oriententded... I loved the alpha hats :)

  • @KTVX94 Try a power ride RUDE cymbal and you'll shit in your pants. I'm serious ! :)

  • @KTVX94 It's all opinion, so no particular type of cymbal is oriented for a certain genre, whatever you think will work, works. I know that Paiste says that they are made for metal players, but that doesn't mean they can't be used for other genres, and vice-versa with other cymbals.

  • @ShittyMcPoopyBalls Of course, I think that too. I was expressing my opinion, never said anyone shouldn't use them, sorry if it was expressed wrongly. I just think they don't sound good,

  • Signature reflector are excellents.

  • wut size snare is that?

  • pst5 i think are a very good quality because iv hade mine for 3 weeks and still havent got broken in and i play for 2 to three hours a day and does eny one no eny good places to get paiste alpha series

  • @chaka11able they are pretty good actually i love crashing my medium ride and it's been taking a beating for almost 3 years now and no signs of cracking

  • such are the PST5?

  • How much do you think that this kid got paid? lol. Anyway I'm really digging the Dark Energy Cymbals. I think all cymbal and drum head companies should do this. It is a great way to show of different sounds of all their products.

  • @jewelboy999 I've had the same ride for seven years. It's not broken. I know people that have played the same cymbal for 40 years. The PST5s are decent enough cymbals but you must have something wrong with your technique if you think that's impressive!

  • I don't play Paiste, but the TWENTY Series sounds awesome

  • alpha rules duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudes i play them for more then 5 years and still they haven't take a single scratch, really solid cymbals and i played metalcore at that time, now i play surfmusic and they still fit the style givin' it a powerful side

  • I WANT GIANT BEATS!!!!

  • FANTASTIC IDEA....... All cymbal manufacturers should do this, but as they don't they won't get my money. I have played on Sabian cymbals most of my drumming life, an have been looking for a new set to with my spare kit. After watching this vid, I'm off to the shop to buy some Alpha series. They sound crisp & bright, and will fit in well with my bands sound. Thanks, GOOD WORK.

  • I may be going out on a limb here but im almost positive they are rock alphas. If you want rocks get the 17 and 19 or the 18 20 crashes. the 16 is my third crash i got after the 18 and 20 and it is quite. Like it can be heard but its really like a punk and metal splash that can actually be heard

  • WHAT ALPHA HATS?!

  • @TheFunkyMetal ROCK?

  • Comment removed

  • which alpha ride/hi-hat does he play in this video?

  • Comment removed

  • that bass/kick drum sounds amazing!

  • may anyone known wich mics the drumset is recorded with?

  • extremely good video ..might have been expensive ;)

  • what paiste Alpha cymbals are you using Med or Rock pack ??

  • anyone know know the size/type of Alpha hi hat in this vid?

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah bra got myself a 20,18,16,14 paiste2002 cymbals!

  • best hi-hat: pst5

    best ride: twenty

    best crashes: signature reflector

  • i prefer PST 5 and Rude series.. they're sound awesome..

  • @tirtashintaro I find the PSTs too short! they have no sustain, just like my B8s. Also, the Rude Ride sounds like it would be prone to "getting away" on you. It seems like it just keeps building :S

  • @PacisVictus : well, i don't know about that dude, but it's just sounds awesome here...lol, i've use the PST at studio once, but i don't know about the Rude. :)

  • @tirtashintaro Rudes should be avoided for studio work. They work great live but their massive chaotic sound bleeds over into the mix and overpowers everything. Unless you're playing with huge Bubinga drums, you probably won't be able to compete with the overwhelming power and volume.

  • @drumsistkrieg1349 well still, it also depends on the mic setup and level settings, if they're set correctly, it will sound a little bit better. maybe a lot lol.

  • @amtrakboy37 Yeah, everything could be equalized and eddied but then what's the entire point of using the Rudes to begin with if you're just going to edit them out? I don't know, it's all up to the player.

  • @drumsistkrieg1349 : ahh..okey, thanks mate.... :)

  • may i know the name of the drummer pls?

  • @MrDhruv1311 Josh Devine.

  • @CDrums16 Thank You!!!

    :)

  • is the paiste pst 5 set the rock or universal version?

  • Are those Paiste Twenties the new Custom line?

  • @bl00ber99 paiste 2002 22" ride

  • Imo alphas were the best besides the ride..... but holy fuck those alpha hats <3

  • @TheFunkyMetal agree with you what ride did u think was best? :)

  • @bl00ber99 Signature series

  • Esta procesado el audio del video, no puede ser que me gusten todas las lineas.

  • PST5 forever ;D

  • @szicsa9 best beginner cymbals ever

  • hands down, this is the most helpful cymbal comparison video I have come across. other companies should follow this lead.

  • Which model of Black Panther is this snare ? I love the sound...

  • Very helpful. One of the best drum/cymbal videos that actually make sense. Thumbs up!

  • Alphaaaa

  • Like if you think they should do the Video again but with the chinas!! PLEASE DO THE CHINAS!!!!

  • 2:13 - Nothing beats the Signature Series!

  • What size have your toms???

  • can i quickscope with the ones on the right?

  • Twenty Custom Metal or Signature Reflector Heavy hats... I JUST DON'T KNOW.

  • pst 5's are good i love them

  • they really all sound damn good. Even the PST3s aren't bad.

  • I like the rides in all but the last one, i like most hi-hats, and i like the crashes on the first, but not most of the rest. But they all sounded good all together. How much for the first one?

  • @SoundStation98 the first one are pst3's and have all of them. the all sound good and they are very cheap! My 16 crash was only 46 bucks and hi hats and crash ride were a hundred dollars for the set. they are deffinitly a good choice!

  • Why is there a mic on his upper tom?!

  • which cymbals would u use to get the August burns red , greiner sound ?

  • @Barkermenia only YOU can decide what YOU like :)

  • @whosthatdrummer hehe i know but i like to play abr songs and stufff like this and so i wanted to know this, would u use alpha then ?

  • @Barkermenia if you don't want to spend as much alpha is good but if you wanna spend a little more sabian aa's and aax's are my faves

  • @Barkermenia Why not get the cymbals he uses then? I believe Matt Greiner uses Zildjian A custom or a mix of A's and K's.

  • @Barkermenia well he uses zildjians a custom and k customs I think

  • @sweetdrums295 i know but they r so expensive :(

  • @sweetdrums295 i know but they r so expensive :(

  • PAISTE = AWSOME!

  • Giant Beat = awesome. Smooth and sweet sound

  • Paiste is the best cymbal company in my honest opinion :) I've owned sabians that were great, but it's like stepping out of a lexus into a ferrari.

  • I wish my PST3 sound like this on the video...

  • In the Sabian videos, they cover up the natural cymbal sound with the same song on every video, which overrides the overtones, and they might EQ slightly, making all the cymbals sound amazing, even the B8. Paiste doesn't have to use those shortcuts, and all the stuff sounds amazing anyway. Paiste for life!

  • Wow. Great bass drum sound.

  • y not Paiste Brass 101 series??? :(

  • Wow, you actually made the PSTs sound decent.

  • Better than the Sabian videos that's for sure.

  • that snare *.*

  • Did Paiste make this video? and what drums does this guy have?

  • alpha just looks badass

  • snare please, anyone knows?

  • @VanDahh It's a Black Panther, but i don´t know the model

  • surprisingly the 2002s dont sound bad here.

ive tried them out many times at music shops and have not found any that i like.

but in this video they sound pretty decent.

    pst5s not bad as well.

    (i can be the recording/eqing/mics but w/e)

my favorite are still the twentys :)

  • My current setup consists of three TRX ALT crashes, Zildjian Hi-Hats and Ride, a 6" Zilbell, a 12" Wuhan china to beat up and an 18" Paiste Signature China which I love to death. Paiste makes some great cymbals in general, but I swear by their chinas, at least their higher end ones. They are expressive and have real personality to them, whereas a lot of chinas out there just sound like trash can lids. Before the Signature, I had an 18" Paiste 2002 Thin China and loved that one as well :)

  • love paiste the most except for the rides. everything else is the best.

  • why do your pst5 sound somuch better and fluffyer then mine hahah

  • Paiste rules ! Im using the alphas

  • hey is the 16" Paiste PST 5 mid, thin rock?? more specific please TAHNK YOU!!

  • everything from pst5 upwards sounds great imo! Going to buy a pair of 2002 s.e hats next week. paiste>everything else

  • The video reason why I love paiste, all the cymbal ranges sound stunning.

  • 2002's all the way.

  • Which would give a bright crash for metal drummers.

  • @KingQuickscoping imo signature

  • @KingQuickscoping u need rudes. paiste rudes. the smaller the size the brighter.

  • @KingQuickscoping RUDE, obviously.

  • @KingQuickscoping LOTS of choices. RUDE, 2002, Alpha & Signature.

  • @KingQuickscoping Twenty. Twenty, Rude or Alpha.

  • @bondjamesbond12 Or 2002

  • @KingQuickscoping Try the RUDE series.

  • @KingQuickscoping The reflectors are pretty sweet, That ride is PERFECTLY balanced imo.

  • @KingQuickscoping and guys im on a tight budget, so the best cymbals for the lowest price would be nice. :)

  • The pst5's are one of my favorites: cheaper and sound amazing

  • that pst3 16" crash just sucks ass... that's no good -.-

  • What mics are used here? Please reply. i really love these cymbals.

  • that was a very helpful vid to compare all the different series of cymbals..thanks for that!
