Hello Men, awesome vids and hope for many more. I have been using Everclear in my salt and alcohol treatments (bowls) as recent as this past weekend. Bleach for the stems. I wait for your recommendations. All the best, chris

Hi: Many thanks for the compliments. What you have been doing is OK for refurbishing. For everyday maintenance it is too harsh. Best to nip oxidation on a clean stem in the bud by lubricating with Chapstick. The salt treatment is ok, but with good mainenance you should really never have to do this too often, intervals can be years apart. Hang with me on the Bug Juice and you won't be sorry. Hi: Forgot, sometimes pipes can, for some reason, depite good maintenance, can get kind of nasty. Salt treatment is the answer for this, usually, though once a year treatment can keep things smoking cool and sweet. Thanks for asking. Best regards, The Count

My last round of cleaning of pipes & pipe tool kit I uses Beefeater Gin, hey it's what I had on hand & I won't drink it. Of course I'd would never do that with my Bombay Blue Sapphire.
