The units mentioned are no doubt top notch. I have one question though, which baffles the shit out of me. I mean come on dude. Why aren't the British SBS mentioned? They are easily on par with Force Recon and the Navy SEALs. They are recruited from the best infantry unit in the world, the Royal Marines. Units like the Army Rangers and Special forces trace their origins to the Royal Marines. You made some good choices, but to leave out the Special Boat Service is CRAZY.
Navy Seals deserve a higher ranking (3), DevGru deserves number 1, SAS number 2, Delta Force (4). I would argue they are the most proven of all spec ops but I'll admit my bias for U.S.A and Great Britain, I know very little of Australian and New Zealand spec ops.
You cant really single out any special force teams, They all have unique points about them that others dont. In !MY! opinion there would be 5 joint top of the line special force units (in no order) (DevGru,SASR,Delta,GROM,SAS) - from a neutral standpoint.

There's a reason MCRD has a failure rate of 9% and the majority of Special Ops units have a failure rate of 80%. Keep in mind that in regards to Army Special Forces and MARSOC, its seasoned combat vets trying out and the failure rates are still high. They dont call them the best of the best for nothing.
The fail rate for MCRD is more like 13-14% because they are regular infantry, not special forces. This guy is wrong, but also they have such a low fail rate because instead of failing them if they don't meet the standards, they train them to the right standard so they can pass.

On a side note, to this day the US denies the existance of Delta Force, even to active duty soldiers. Even retired colonels claim that they are merely a "Hollywood fabrication" intended to portray the US's top military special forces without emphasizing any "real" US special forces to be better than another. That said, "1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta" and "Combat Applications Group" or "CAG" are the "Delta Force" that the US does recognize but will not answer questions about.

No wonder the other UK nations get fed up with the England bit and at least half the time it isn't our fault - it is most often "others" who don't seem to know what Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) or the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) are. England is not a substitute word for UK or GB. I am pretty sure that our SS has men from all four nations which go to make up the UK.

Wish I could find the replies but can't. No, I don't truct that your countries special forces are the best. Training is great but it only goes so far. In combat is where stuff starts going wrong. You can't train for everything. I think we should invite your FSK for a complete course in the desert, especially knowing when they complete it, they are still in their own military, no matter what, so no Special Forces slot.

SEALs yes, are probably not as good as FSK, but NSWDG (DevGru/ST6) are certainly better. love to know from where you pulled the figure of 90% from though. for a start only a few SEALs undertake it, and even then then only take parts of it.

The SAS isn't all that, neither is Spetznaz, or our Green Berets. America's most leathal soldiers are the SEALs and Force Recon. Our Rangers are like our Marines, our most ferocious and competent infantry. Everyone wants to be special today, but it has been our SEALs so far that have really made some phenomenal raids.

Realistically, it's down to the mission and situation as to which is better. Cant compare a SAS to SEAL in the open ocean, likewise don't expect a SEAL to live deep in enemy territory for weeks on end.

It's the United Kingdom, not England. No wonder the other UK nations get fed up with the England bit and at least half the time it isn't our fault - it is most often "others" who don't seem to know what Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) or the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) are. Wish I could find the replies but can't. No, I don't truct that your countries special forces are the best. Training is great but it only goes so far. In combat is where stuff starts going wrong. You can't train for everything. I think we should invite your FSK for a complete course in the desert, especially knowing when they complete it, they are still in their own military, no matter what, so no Special Forces slot.

SEALs yes, are probably not as good as FSK, but NSWDG (DevGru/ST6) are certainly better. love to know from where you pulled the figure of 90% from though. for a start only a few SEALs undertake it, and even then then only take parts of it.

@cavscout888 in 1981 they were established, only it has been kept secret until recently. no civilians really know how many men they consist of, but the Americans know for shure that they are stronger. as i said 90% of them failed their training! That is a shit load! :P And in the end it doesn't really come down to experience, but combat TRAINING. In combat good men are lost and experience are lost, but while training and training and training until they are significantly... to be continued :P
