Buddha truly is one of the most awakened philosophers I have ever come across.
His insights are just as priceless today as they always have been.
Both wonderfully pragmatic and simultaneously so personally empowering!
The Buddha's teachings have helped me to awaken to the divine within!
We are all one, I feel so blessed to understand and experience this ultimate reality, and even more blessed to act accordingly and practice manifesting compassion, bliss, and harmony.
Do you know if "Tout comprendre, c'est tout pardonner" (To understand everything is to forgive everything) is a real quote by the Buddha? If not, who is it from?
the true secret of buddhism is that you dont have to believe and anything. you just have to feel the truth from within! no god, no heaven or hell, just karma ruling the whole universe. belief comes from the mind, and that is what a buddhist tries to overcome.
but he did not say as far as I learned that you create the universe with your thoughts however, because he practiced the mental void that brings the awakening
@youngs1ncere The more you meditate the brighter you will glow and become aware of it and the response of everything to You . You are already Buddha discovering who You really Are.You are in Buddha and he is in You!
Man! Just imagine what it would be like to be alive 2500 years ago walking through the same forest where Buddha became enlightened and actually seeing this amazing unified being and actually experiencing and feeling the positive energy when you were in Buddha's midst. Its mind blowing to think about how the positive energy must have been glowing and flowing through all things as he walked by. Legend has it that at his first teaching, one became instantly enlightened just from hearing his words!
@youngs1ncere - yes wouldnt it be wonderful to see the great buddha himself, with all his positive spernatural calming powerful lovely super posiitive loving unifying magical breath taking glass breaking PRESENCE. Maybe if christ was there too, oh and dont forget to add santa claus and magical pixie fairies in your list.
@youngs1ncere I think your excitement is inspiring. I believe all of us have this potential. It was through an extreme form of empathy for all of life, small and large, that resonated from him. This love is something that all great prophets inspire. I believe also there will be others that will come soon to brighten the path. It is true, we are what we think, and the world is shaped by our thoughts. As an atheist, I have a lot to think about. Take care!
" better than thousand hollow word, is one word that bring peace"
an ther is a chinese drawed sign after this quote, can someone tell my what that means, is it the peacbringin word, or else what is the word , any good ideas for me ?
GODS CREATED OUT OF MANS EGO ARE SELF EVIDENT FOR THEY PORTRAY HIS FALSE IMAGE..THE TRUTH IS NOT OUT THERE ITS WITHIN ALL OF US..DISCOVER WHO YOU ARE AND EVERYTHING ELSE AROUND YOU WILL MAKE SENSE. SO DONT FOLLOW ORGANISATIONS THAT MAKE YOU SUBMIT AND DESTROY YOU IF YOU DONT TRUST YOURSELF AND REMOVE THE EGO AND ENLIGHTENMENT WILL FOLLOW.
In the face of these words and my own realization of how short I have fallen of their truth too often, I feel rather small. But in the humility of smallness you can see how large the universe is from which you emerge, to which you belong, and into which you will one day dissolve and become part of the living truth.
there is no question of religion .........you create your own east n west ........every religion is perfect ......there cannot be 1000s of fool following religion spontaneously......there must b some reason .........i liked dis vdo ....its teaching from buddha who achieved more dan us, better than us ....so just learn frm it....

This video is so lovely it makes me tear up thinking of Buddha and how a lot of people in this world is so intolerant of each other and not loving towards one another. Too bad Buddha can't be hear physically but for those of us who believe the Buddha is in our heart always. Nam Mo Amitabha.

its amazing how smart he was. people create distinction in their own mind and believe them to be true. how dead on for today, people believe untrue terrible things about others, and this eventually makes the stereotype true. people burn our flags, we burn their books, in reality, their is no conflict between them except for what these particular people who do thinking they are only continue what someone else started when it is them who wanted it made it be all along.
When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.......
One of the most wonderful quotes I have heard and if we all take a moment we begin to understand the freedoms of spirit and love that flows between all religions. Siddhartha Buddha was born in Lumbini at the southern part of Nepal. He was a prince of Shakya Kingdom but abandoned his family and kingdom for the truth and enlightment which he discover after many years of meditation.
Hey man, I'm Muslim and I follow a lot of Bhudda's teachings. That's because he says things that are harmonious with Islam. He might of not said anything about an ultimate God, some say he didn't, some say he did. But he did say wise things. Can you not acknowledge that?
To them their religion and to ours our religion.
But the prophet even said, travel to China to learn knowledge. And If knowledge came from Siddhartha, then why not learn from him?
Well, I see almost all the teaching of Buddha also taught in Islam. There are so many prophetic tradition that says the same or the similar things which I just read on this thread. I consider Buddha as a God sent but his teachings shows that he never talked about God or belief in God, the reason perhaps he came as a reformer when the Hindus worshiped thousands of gods. So he might have been sent to prepare for the next Buddha who would guide people to all truth. He left open the purpose of like.
Like how Islam teaches thats its alright to kill unbelievers? I THINK NOT!!! There is no GOD in buddhism u dumb bitch! He said even the so-called GODS could not escape the cycle of life and death.
@lcw1980 he is saying our essence which is our soul is part of god which we are! because we are confined to these bodies in life it is hard to be self realized! knowing your own soul! even quran says god created everything then god must be a part of everything! Just using common logic!
thank you for this video. I was on the verge of giving up on everything until i stumbled upon this video. It feels like the message was meant to reach me 2day. thank you. In Buddha i believe. God bless all.
thank you for this video. I was on the verge of giving up on everything until i stumbled upon this video. It feels like the message was meant to reach me 2day. thank you. In Buddha i believe. God bless all.
The problem with Buddhist philosophy is that it allows the followers to be completely exploited. It teaches you to roll over and take whatever injustice others dish out. Fuck that... most religions preach slave philosophy (turn the other cheek, love thy enemy, etc..) which keeps them enslaved. Rise up against injustice, don't just forgive and forget or Evil will prevail.
@jojomojojones If we let other ppl what they want them to do and explain to them, then evil will only prevail in those who want to do evil. Otherwise we will fall into the path of revenge and begin doing evil ourselves.
Enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong will bring peace, offering the other cheek will not bring peace but misery but it can be applied occasionally depending on the conditions and the situations. If we Muslims follow the offering the other cheek the white Zionists of Europe and America would be occupying all the Muslim countries in the wold like they are already in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine and some other part of the world.
Why not? Are you averse to different opinion of others? In that case you should not post videos on this forum. It seems that you like opinion that pleases your opinion.
I do not see how blaming white Zionists or speaking so highly about Islam has anything to do with this video. This is about quotations from Gautama Buddha. If you don't like Buddhism, stick to Islamic videos.
Well, there are comments on this thread which attack Islam, so those who are attacking Islam are brainwashed by the Zionist media. I never said I dis like Buddhism, I do respect Buddhism so I have found so many common things in Buddhism. I think you have not read my post but you have just picked up something that you don't like what I said. I also believe there are so many thing that you found in Buddhism also found in Hinduism because Buddhism is the off shoot of it.
What ever posts are offensive to Hindus, Christians, Muslims, etc have always been removed or publicaly questioned., as I have done to you and to others who had made claims.
@hokulani7 Let me ask you a couple of question; is there a purpose in life? what is the benefit in following a religion based on minus God or punishment or reward? If I say Buddhist are selfish will you be able to deny it? Buddhism is a religion without God but Hindu influences are still there. Buddhism was displaced in In India because the Hindus rejected it for it is devoid of belief God.
You answered your own question. For some Buddhism does not require a belief in an absolute God that punishes or rewards you according to his whims. There are also Buddhists that do believe in a single God and all the various boddhisvattas and dewas are manifestations of the One. For others, Buddhism is a philosophy rather than a religion so I do know of Muslims, Christians and Jews who adopted aspects of Buddhism as a philosophy, removing whatever contradicts their own faith.
@AdorIslam Hi, I know it's not my business but I really would like to answer your questions. Yes, from all the materials I've read, there are actually 4 purposes in life for an average person, but there is always an exception because people are different 1) Survival and replication 2) Happiness 3) Love 4) self cultivation. The purpose that most religions were created was to instill morals to the people when laws were few. Philosophy is usually deeply connected to ancient religion. contd...
@AdorIslam I can't deny that Buddha is selfish because I believe we all are selfish in some ways. It is a survival trait. But I would like to mention that he is less selfish than most people in this world. He left his wife, and wealth to teach. He spent a lot of time and energy to teach others. He tried to help others to avoid suffering, a selfish person would not devote so much time and effort for the benefit of others. That is true that only a small percent follow Buddhism in India contd
@AdorIslam ... because although the Indians rejected Buddhism they have borrowed and adopted some of Buddhist teachings. A lot of Buddhism teachings also came from Hinduism, so they both have influenced one another. The reason I know all this is because I have been studying a lot on world cultures and world religions. I've done a lot of research on God, religions, ancient greek and eastern philosophies, and ethnic cultures. I'm writing this with good will, hope you guys find it useful.
@GetDamage Great job Getdamage. Does it really matter which religion copied which? If it works and is a peaceful teaching why not use it? No religion has a patent on it's teachings. This is also aimed to Adorislam. Read and understand my friend.
@AdorIslam How are we selfish? true Buddhists do not take from others but try to give back more, the gift of knowledge, so that we use it as a guide to end our suffering and become enlightened so that we can help others become enlightened so that THEY can end THEIR suffering? How is that selfish? Buddhism is not a religion without a 'God' but we have many Buddhas anyone can become a Buddha. In Buddhism one Buddha is all of the Buddhas and all of the Buddhas is all one.
@AdorIslam You have a 'spirituality' that is troubling. You seem to wish to submit to 'God' so that you are not punished. Your fear is what drives you and your belief system only imflames your need for others to comply to your very individual beliefs! How about, you go your way, and we'll go ours. BUT, when you see we are not punished, but in most cases, far more enlightened than you, your violence is just a sad regret, that YOU have taken the wrong path.
@AdorIslam hehe, yeah , you think buddhism is the NWO religion, i bet you listened to Rik Clay too much aleady...... buddhism is non-theistic, not atheistic, there's a difference between non-theists and atheist
buddhism is not atheistic, it just doesn't talk about god, not giving an argument to disprove his existence.
@headlesshorsemen75 Atheistic means non-theistic just as asymetrical means non-symetrical and amoral means non-moral. Buddhism does not talk about God, it is not theistic, therefore it is atheistic. Small point.
You are being aggressive. Is it not written in your holy Quran that Allah does love aggressors and you can only fight if you are being hampered from practicing your religion and being driven from your homes? Even then one must cease when your enemy is inclined to peace. Muslims talk a great deal about the foreign aggressors, but what about your own nations? The only two Muslim democracies in the world are Indonesia and Turkey--both of non-Arab.
Furthermore, how are non-Muslims treated in many parts of the Islamic world? The Copts are persecuted. Buddhist art was destroyed in Afghanistan. In Saudi Arabia, Christians can not practice despite the fact that Makkah and Medinah both had Christian and Jewish communities before Kalifa Umar burned them out of the peninsula despite the hadith, "He who hurts a Non-Muslim citizen of a Muslim state, I am his adversary, and I shall be his adversary on the Day of a Judgement.(Bukhari)"
thats beautiful,ive read a bit of the koran. and as a jew myself,its good i know these quotes so my side is diplomatic.there are some real bad people on all sides,but there are people in every community who needs to be rescued so they can pray and know with their own minds and not the words of others that they are where they should be.everyone should have a homeland,even if more than one people call it home.
it is ignorant to not think every side has bad,its more to think every doesnt have good
turkey has one of the very, very, worst reputations for human rights abuses. and indonesia is well known for its oppresions. it doesn't matter what government a muslim nation has they are all bad!
WOW.... That was very interesting and moving from the inside out... Thank you for that wonderfully well quoted.... May we find peace and unity amongst ''everyone'' across the globe.
what a wonderful divinely put together master piece sweet soul i thank foreverness u spoke my heart our heart so beautifully thank u for your beingness reflecting our vast heart ever so clear blessings unending aum shanti shanti shanthi xo :)
It is a great work. I see the pictures from all over th world. I saved it to my memory stick, so that I can see it when I am not ok. I see some of the sayings are from Dhamma Pada and kareaniya meththa Suthra. My life began in Sri lanka though I live in USA. I wonder what Buddhist history is in Hawaii.
"If the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."
~ Jimi Hendrix
"When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible but in the end, they always fall - think of it, always."
The Kingdom of God is not in the sky, if it is, the birds precede you. The Kingdom of God is not under the sea, if then, the fish precede you. Rather, it is inside and outside you. - Gnostic Gospel of Thomas
Thank you very much for posting this video...great thoughts of peace and love...but very difficult to follow to the core, but not impossible it requires a lot of discipline and willingness to become a better being...
its just that buddhist people dont like to hype about it in the news papers or radios like the muslims or christians do . We do not force people to convert tghey convert themselves . pho gyalo free tibet .lond live buddhism and his holiness dalai lama .
we r the 3 largest religion in the world after christian , muslim and hindu and we are 500 million in total so we have nothing to fear , more and more people r converting to buddhism.
A philosophy's strength doesn't lie in it's number of adherents or followers but how it perceives the world and changes the mind's perception of it's own reality, whether the implications are positive ones or negative ones. Remember that.
@alien0princess Buddhism is a very peaceful religion. You never hear us having any 'holy wars'. If anything we keep getting our temples burned down but do we hate or loath the people that do this? No. Why because those people have not yet found the right path and are temporarily lost. They will find a way to Buddhism but after how many life times? We don't know. This is for 'Adorislam' to read and hopefully understand or at least stop bickering.
remember , their r 500 million buddhist to 1 billion buddhist in this world . their r some who dont want on their passport as buddhist to be mentioned but practice buddhist like johnny wilkinson , richard gere , mark wahlberg , tina turner , steven seagal , harrison ford , etc , can u imagine how many lay people are not mentioned on passport . so brother think before u speak . check it on any website
I was crying tears watching this vid!! it is amazingly inspiring and as refreshing as standing under cold waterfall in the middle of the desert! Wish you all the best!!

Christians are expected to judge people, places, and things (I Cor. 2:15), but there are certain rules that we must follow:
1. Judge scripturally - Isa. 8:20
2. Do not judge when God's word is silent - Col. 2:16
3. Do not respect persons in judgment - Pro. 24:23
4. Pray for good judgment ability - I Kings 3:5-12
5. Judge in truth - get the facts - Jer. 5:1
6. If you have to judge, judge mercifully - Mat. 7:1-2
7. Don't forget to judge yourself - I Cor. 11:30-31

He said even the so-called GODS could not escape the cycle of life and death.
lcw1980 1 year ago
@lcw1980 he is saying our essence which is our soul is part of god which we are! because we are confined to these bodies in life it is hard to be self realized! knowing your own soul! even quran says god created everything then god must be a part of everything! Just using common logic!

The problem with Buddhist philosophy is that it allows the followers to be completely exploited. It teaches you to roll over and take whatever injustice others dish out. Fuck that... most religions preach slave philosophy (turn the other cheek, love thy enemy, etc..) which keeps them enslaved. Rise up against injustice, don't just forgive and forget or Evil will prevail.
jojomojojones 1 year ago
@jojomojojones If we let other ppl what they want them to do and explain to them, then evil will only prevail in those who want to do evil. Otherwise we will fall into the path of revenge and begin doing evil ourselves.
mastermax1989 1 year ago
@jojomojojones

@hokulani78
Why not? Are you averse to different opinion of others? In that case you should not post videos on this forum. It seems that you like opinion that pleases your opinion.
AdorIslam 1 year ago
@AdorIslam
I do not see how blaming white Zionists or speaking so highly about Islam has anything to do with this video. This is about quotations from Gautama Buddha. If you don't like Buddhism, stick to Islamic videos.
hokulani78 1 year ago
@hokulani78

AdorIslam 1 year ago
@AdorIslam

(Sura Kafirun)
1. Say: O you disbelievers,
2. I worship not what you worship,
3. Nor do you worship Whom I worship,
4. Neither shall I worship what you worship,
5. Nor will you worship Whom I worship,
6. To you be your religion, and to me my religion.
Can we just leave the discussion at that? What you believe is what you believe and what we believe is what we believe.

@AdorIslam And you point is?...
TheChakri123 1 year ago
@AdorIslam Hi, I know it's not my business but I really would like to answer your questions. Yes, from all the materials I've read, there are actually 4 purposes in life for an average person, but there is always an exception because people are different 1) Survival and replication 2) Happiness 3) Love 4) self cultivation. The purpose that most religions were created was to instill morals to the people when laws were few. Philosophy is usually deeply connected to ancient religion. contd...
GetDamage 1 year ago
@AdorIslam I can't deny that Buddha is selfish because I believe we all are selfish in some ways. It is a survival trait. But I would like to mention that he is less selfish than most people in this world. He left his wife, and wealth to teach. He spent a lot of time and energy to teach others. He tried to help others to avoid suffering, a selfish person would not devote so much time and effort for the benefit of others. That is true that only a small percent follow Buddhism in India contd
GetDamage 1 year ago
@AdorIslam ... because although the Indians rejected Buddhism they have borrowed and adopted some of Buddhist teachings. A lot of Buddhism teachings also came from Hinduism, so they both have influenced one another. The reason I know all this is because I have been studying a lot on world cultures and world religions. I've done a lot of research on God, religions, ancient greek and eastern philosophies, and ethnic cultures. I'm writing this with good will, hope you guys find it useful.
GetDamage 1 year ago
@GetDamage Great job Getdamage. Does it really matter which religion copied which? If it works and is a peaceful teaching why not use it? No religion has a patent on it's teachings. This is also aimed to Adorislam. Read and understand my friend.
Secretlyastonishing 1 year ago
@AdorIslam How are we selfish? true Buddhists do not take from others but try to give back more, the gift of knowledge, so that we use it as a guide to end our suffering and become enlightened so that we can help others become enlightened so that THEY can end THEIR suffering? How is that selfish? Buddhism is not a religion without a 'God' but we have many Buddhas anyone can become a Buddha. In Buddhism one Buddha is all of the Buddhas and all of the Buddhas is all one.

@AdorIslam hehe, yeah , you think buddhism is the NWO religion, i bet you listened to Rik Clay too much aleady...... buddhism is non-theistic, not atheistic, there's a difference between non-theists and atheist
buddhism is not atheistic, it just doesn't talk about god, not giving an argument to disprove his existence.
headlesshorsemen75 1 year ago 4
@headlesshorsemen75 Atheistic means non-theistic just as asymetrical means non-symetrical and amoral means non-moral. Buddhism does not talk about God, it is not theistic, therefore it is atheistic. Small point.

@AdorIslam
The only two Muslim democracies in the world are Indonesia and Turkey--both of non-Arab.
hokulani78 1 year ago 32
@hokulani78
Furthermore, how are non-Muslims treated in many parts of the Islamic world? The Copts are persecuted. Buddhist art was destroyed in Afghanistan. In Saudi Arabia, Christians can not practice despite the fact that Makkah and Medinah both had Christian and Jewish communities before Kalifa Umar burned them out of the peninsula despite the hadith, "He who hurts a Non-Muslim citizen of a Muslim state, I am his adversary, and I shall be his adversary on the Day of a Judgement.(Bukhari)"

thats beautiful,ive read a bit of the koran. and as a jew myself,its good i know these quotes so my side is diplomatic.there are some real bad people on all sides,but there are people in every community who needs to be rescued so they can pray and know with their own minds and not the words of others that they are where they should be.everyone should have a homeland,even if more than one people call it home.
it is ignorant to not think every side has bad,its more to think every doesnt have good

we r the 3 largest religion in the world after christian , muslim and hindu and we are 500 million in total so we have nothing to fear , more and more people r converting to buddhism.
alien0princess 2 years ago 13
A philosophy's strength doesn't lie in it's number of adherents or followers but how it perceives the world and changes the mind's perception of it's own reality, whether the implications are positive ones or negative ones. Remember that.
Bodhidharma1986 1 year ago
@alien0princess Buddhism is a very peaceful religion. You never hear us having any 'holy wars'. If anything we keep getting our temples burned down but do we hate or loath the people that do this? No. Why because those people have not yet found the right path and are temporarily lost. They will find a way to Buddhism but after how many life times? We don't know. This is for 'Adorislam' to read and hopefully understand or at least stop bickering.
Secretlyastonishing 1 year ago
