  • you guys are Fucking awesome. capital F

  • I was playing an online game and this guy buffered me but idk how o.0 Made my game crash >.> bitch lol.

  • You don't put C code or even assembly language into the buffer, as these guys lead you to believe. You put machine language opcodes into it, e.g. binary (or hex) representation of assembly language instructions.

And besides, usually people just overwrite the EIP register value to point to another function planted elsewhere in memory instead of directly injecting code. And if you're into runtime hacking, just play around with overwriting exception handlers and raise one.

  • @anthonycargile I guess what the meant to say is that c and assembly don't do runtime bounds checking for you.

  • @anthonycargile Isn't assembly translated into hex? If you get the object dump of assembly code, you would get hex code. When you are writing shellcodes, it's the same as assembly code in hex... right?

  • Hehe, that's the simplest explanation of a buffer overflow that I've ever seen, now even a moron could understand the concept :D

  • xd...5*

  • How do you stop the hacker from fucking your shit up?!?

  • Don't use a pc. ^__^

  • If you mean use a mac a mac is a pc, PC=Personal Computer. A mac is a PC.

  • No i mean just literally dont use a pc..

  • why not?

  • @JHurleyGTR turn off your computer ;)

  • haha that was freaking awesome

  • It's obvious you guys are explaining this based on research rather than experience. xD

  • wow this kicked total ass!

  • great video fellas! I appreciate the creative explanation of buffer overflows...if only they were as fun as actually drinking beer

  • both of yall shut up! lol nice video, when compared with beer, easier to understand lol good work
