  • Please show us how too make one

  • that is a beautiful ring.

  • I am wondering if you would be able to share you instructions to build this.

    THANKS!!!

  • that looks amazing im 14 and my dad and I take a hose down to our pond and just flood it that way and then hav a great time on it. some unforgettable moments are made on ponds.

  • whoa, that looks like it works great! you guys are serious!

  • What did you use to make this? A great idea that would work wonders on our lake here in Michigan!

  • i would make another and have both of you goin opposite directions

  • authentic Canadian video

"you got that full open eh"

    "yah"

  • thats awsome, i watched your other video of you and your son playing hockey, i wish my father is as involved in hockey with me like you 2 are

  • Zamboni? Zam-polski more like it! Talk to this guy, you'd probably would save a great deal of time, have a larger rink and be able to get on skate much quicker.

  • all i use is a large wet janitors mop

  • @flashfingers96 - A large wet janitors mop works fine, much faster than one would think. I don't mind mopping, A few buckets of hot water, clean surface and a large mop works great. This was just a fun litle project with my son.

  • Is that rubber or carpet that your pullin over the water

  • it's just a cotton bath towel, works fine.

  • awesome!

  • how do you get hot water out there? when i use cold water the towel just freezes up within minutes.

  • Very cool! I have two questions for you...

    1) If your rink is 100x40ft, how many times do you have to fill up the water barrel?

    and

    2) How do you get the lake water into the barrel? Do you have a pump?

    Nice job! Cheers!

  • see below regarding filling the barrel pkneeyahx

we don't use the river water, we fill the tank with hot water and dolly it to the rink

  • but you guys only use hot water??? cold water won't work??? i really like your design and it looks easy to move and transport.. looks awesome.

  • thanks, it really is practical, I am sure cold water would work fine.

  • when I said "hot water only" I meant thats what we do, it leaves a much better surface...

  • do you guys cut the ice?

  • No, we are thinking about adding a blade, we haven't figured out how just yet.

  • pretty cool,

  • too funny.. i'm not far from you guys. Almonte. What is the capacity on that container and did you have enough to do it all in one session or did you have to refill it?

    great work guys.

  • Thanks, it was a fun project and simple. 40 gal tank, at first we ran out. We increased the wand size by 3 feet, drilled smaller holes & spaced the holes a little farther apart. Once the towel is soaked we close the valve a little more, and open when needed. We got to where we could do the entire surface with one tank. We still mop the sides where the snow builds up. As you know it's been pretty cold lately won't be long before we lace em' up!

  • took about 45 minutes to mop, but what a nice surface...HOT water only.

  • yeah thats cool! how do ya make it?!!

  • Nice how long did take?

  • ya u betcha, thats a sweet design prob gunna copy it, lookin to make a 40 by 100 myself

  • thats awesome because its so inexpensive, but gets the job done...sweet!
