I'm pretty sure a standard CAI won't invalidate your warranty considering a few different companies make the part specifically door the Fusion. I think it's worth the money for sure. As for sounding the same on a 2010 model, I would think so since the motors are the same, but keep in mind the updated design may or may not have additional sound proofing.
What kind of emission laws would prevent someone from installing a CAI and benefiting from increased power and fuel economy? That sucks man! It is a 3.0L V6. The exhaust system was tricky since it's AWD. I actually had to have Meineke install it since it required some custom work due to the AWD system. All together about $1000 bucks
CAI won't affect emissions or fuel economy. Only a clogged air filter on an old carbeurated engine will decrease mpg. The power increase from a CAI will be marginal.
I love this car, own it myself all my friends want it. but sucks that i cant have a cold air intake in it do to the emission laws in Washington. Gay... but yea. btw what liter is your engine? and how much did that exhaust cost?

i want an intake for my fusion soo bad. Problem is it'll validate my warranty. I guess I can do bolt ons and stuff. Is it worth the $?
