  • AS A EX SCOTS GUARDS MAN I SPENT MOST OF my time in northern Ireland and only trooped the colour once .hard core infantry was what we done .done guard duties but it was rotated round who ever was in the country at the time, but it was a scots guard general who formed the sas and most of the selection comes from the guards regiments great video was that victoria barracks ?

  • Yeah its Vic Bks , can tell by the Carpet , besides i am Ex Coldm Gds lol

  • um it was a colonel from the scotts guards who devised the plan for the sas and got it put into action by breaking into the military chief commanders office in the middle east in 1941 that got the sas formed originally known as l detachment if you are going to comment please be correct

  • @armycadet did you learn that at ur cadets detachment?

  • @saslegendb20 um no i learnt that by studying the SAS out side of cadets and everything because i have always wanted in to the SASR

  • my older brother is a gaurds men and there r 5 differant types of gaurdsmen clodstream, grenidean, welsh, scotts and irish gaurds and it all depends wot battalion they r aswell......

  • fukinn yeesss !!! fair play 2 yah !

  • shut up ya boring cunt! let me guess, hard as fuck para yeah? ya not so great every fucker hates chip shop regiments. scruffy, taggy wastes of space bumholes. up the coldstream"

  • yea cheers 4 that u bumhole. bet you sit in ya room all night shaping ya beret or something ya sad cunt. ur probably a cadet even? up the coldstream! leave all the serious shit for tours

  • what the do you know you peice of shit. It takes a real man to join the infantry.

  • Don't be a retard, and talk about things that are way above your knowledge. For starters, he is blatantly a guard not an Infantry man, so shut the fuck up, learn how to have fun and sort your life out.

  • emm take a leaf out your own book knobend- guardsmen are infantry or armoured cavalry

  • Gaurdsmen whereas Gaurdsmen an Infantryman is a Rifleman. It says so when you address them by rank.

A Gaurd regiment is primarly a ceremonial regiment, but will fight aswell. An Infantry regiment will purely be a fighting regiment. Hence, there is difference between a Gaurdsmen and an Infantrman.

When you know about Regimental insignia, then come an argue with me.

  • The Guards are Combat Infantryman, between each of the 5 foot Guard Regiments they take in turns to do ceremonail Duties.

Infantryman is there primary role! they spend more time in the field training than doin ceremonial duties as its shared out between the 5 regiments. they are called guardsman due to tradition within the guards regiment

  • pimptastic is right you fool. guards are infantry or armoured depending on there role at the time. sort ur shit out lad been infantry for 13 years so i know the crack

  • ummm, armoured cavalry? surely you mean armoured infantry? an armoured cavalry unit is units such as the QRL, SDG, QDG etc..

  • no, coldstream is in scotland and the higher ranks select them from the training schools in numourous places throughout the country e.g the coldstream gauards

  • this is so funny .. wud never expect to see summing like dis lol world class

  • you're a fucking discrace boy! our royalty is something we take pride in and this is how you treat it! thousands of people have seen this. as a royal guard you're representing the country. show some bloody repect!

  • Potter - you always was a mongo!

  • It's Napoleon Dynamite!

  • you can dance mate way to go

  • Typical English. Can't hold the camera correctly.

  • if it had been a yank holding the camera we would have had to wait until macdonalds had been built across the street, 2 coffee bars and the floor would have been reinforced to carry your fat ass into the room!

  • check out the history of those 'hats', see who used them in past wars, certainly not clowns, although to break you in easily why not come over here buy one and stand on guard duty next to one of these chaps in the summer without moving, drop me a line on my personal page and i can arrange it for you, i will film you and post on youtube to show how you get on, who is the clown now?

  • Thanks for the invite, old chap! But if I'm ever going to go that way again, I'm flying straight into Amsterdam. I love phat beats and dope too much.

    pffffft! ere!

  • haha made me laugh that, used to fly with KLM from africa into Amsterdam, overnight and then onto UK, you probably gathered i'm not into dope, but I have to say the city seems happy with itself and I'm not anti those that are into it as it appears to be safer than excess booze, the dutch seem to have it right and I always found the place a welcome change from Africa and hey they have a Queen also if you feel like a tour, probably not, enjoy!

  • yes, yes yes! get in boyo

  • Awesome.....the boy can dance, looks hot as fcuk & even betta in his tunic! Woooo hoooooo!

  • this is bloody brilliant! i love the army, they have the best sense of humour!

my mate is going into the grens, if someone manages to catch him doin his one-legged dance to iron maiden please put it on here!

  • whats the name of that song

  • the queen shud have walked into your room...

  • she would have laughed, its only new labour that have a bad attitude and hate our nation, the Queen and the armed forces get along well, she has an excellent sense of humour, needs it with idiots like Blair and Brown in recnt years wrecking her land of hope and faded glories!

  • no we do not, you might think she is a old bird with no idea, well think again she is a sharp cookie and knows more whats going on tan most people half her age, we just wish members of our government could work half as hard as she could. Our Queen has served our nation very well, Mr/Mrs Blair showed us how tacky and expensive an elected president would be for the UK, the Queen is excellent value for money and long may she stick around to continue her duties, i accept tourists like her also!

  • lol great

  • wicked :P

  • Class!!!!

  • i dont see why people think this is a disgrace its just guys having a laugh in their barrack accommodation it just shows that we arent all robots in the guards and we have a human side and are able to display a bit of banter go to any warrant officers and sergeants mess in the army and see a lot of guys dancing a whole lot worse in uniform.

  • oh dear. Hope his officers didn't find this... although I mean, it is youtube... so ..

  • Im the guards mum i thought this was good seeing MY son having some well earnt rest, to have a few mins to himself doing nobody any harm, not hitting ppl or nicking anything, god knows they need to have some time out fighting for the country .

  • I believe that the British Grenadier guard, Coldstream guard etc etc have the upmost discipline in the British army and deserve the time off, and those who refer to anyone in the army as CROW's or anything else should actually try to have some pride in their country and join the military!

  • It's a bit of banter m8. I was a Grenadier for 7yrs. Been out now for 10 yrs. It's what regiments do!

  • calling someone a crow in a guards regiment is commonplace we are all crows its a household division thing everyone has been one and always is one to someone else

  • piss off fucking CROW.

  • crow= combat RECRUIT of war.

I aint a recruit nor am i new draft

  • Sqwauk Sqwauk, your a fucking crow. You've done around 3 yrs! You'll always be a crow to me! Bah Bah sheep shagger!

  • wt wrng wiv bein sheep shagger regimental history n pride

  • You better be pulling your feet in when you comment on my comments!

  • why?

  • Just a bit of banter m8. I was a Gren Gd. Trained at Pirbright in 1990, the old Guards Depot! (48 weeks) killer! Got out in 97. 33 now, wish i had stayed in. Good luck!

  • u cuda bin in afghan now
