No person struck the statue to cause it to crack or shatter, nor did the head break off from a blow.
This scene depicts a sad, but understandable, accidental event.
I'd suggest it'd be wise next time to practice first with an equally heavy and awkward object. Become acquainted with how the balance will shift as they maneuver. In this way, a sad event like this can be avoided.

@07braves God has shown us the truth. We have the fullness of the faith as passed down by the apostles. Thats how the church knew what to choose to include in the canon of scripture when they produced the bible.
Your problem here is twofold. 1) you dont understand who and why Mary is venerated the way she is. You mistake it for worship and idolatry (which its definately not). 2) You dont understand the concept of iconography and know how even the ancient jews used iconography.

The only problem with finding alot of info about these people is because they were being martyred by a specific church because they would not bow to the man of sin..the son of perdition..called the popes. The bible should not be the sole rule of faith, it is open to abuse and private interpretation is not made infallable by the guidance of the holy spirit. God has since the beginning chosen those who have been lawfully ordained to be his mediators on earth. The prophets, the levitical priesthood and now the ordained ministers of the new priesthood under christ. the popes are protected from teaching false dogma, you arnt.

@havock89 the problem is though the RCC is NOT that true priesthood..it is a pagan priesthood that has come in the name of Jesus as Jesus himself foretold. tell me why the papacy uses the pontifex maximus title?..try to explain that away with all the RC dogmas..there is no getting away from it..the roman pontiff of pagan rome that is now papal rome still presides over its followers worldwide..and it is a PAGAN priesthood.

This is one of the titles the pope has because he brings people together under christ, It was exactly the same in the davidic kingdom which was the biblical typology of the pope. So if it is a priesthood it is speaking of spiritual things...the bridge builder is between GOD (or gods of old..in pagan belief) and man..if this title is used unto the true GOD and his church then this is a direct usurping of CHRIST position..JESUS is that bridge between GOD and man, the door, the gate , the MEDIATOR.

@07braves Sorry dude. Your "fiction" did not exist until the 17th century. The church produced the bible, not the other way around. We know where and when the texts for the bible were chosen, and why others were rejected. We know that god guides the popes, in matter of teachings regarding faith and morals, that is evident in history. We know Christ intituted the church and gave Peter authority, we know that the apostles chose and annointed successors. The pope has pedigree, you dont, usurper.

@07braves Dude. We are all harlots to a lesser or greater degree. The catholic mass is the height of our liturgy, and the mass places the covenant with christ and the eternal sacrifice at its very height. The catholic mass is the most Christo-centric worship of God there is.
What you have been brainwashed into accepting is a caricature of what catholicism is. The church takes what the pagan world had, and turns it back to the glorification of God. We make it holy and do not divorce ourselves.
