SMS is more an adventure game, just like SM64, in which you solve your way to the star in a more complex world. In SMG; you also have puzzles and secrets, but the game itself is pretty linear, one world has a small amount of stars and usually it focusses on being a jump n run more than an adventure. Both games are awesome in what they try to be. Thus, debating is useless. SMG2 is better than SMG tho
