He's got Bird's arpeggios down pat. The mental attention that requires is quite impressive. If you knew the degree Vermeer went to to imitate the masters you'd see the same kind of intense attention to detail that young artists go into in order to hone their technique early in their life. Before they germinate their own style it's so important to master technique and what better way to do it than than in analyzing great examples of the art? Even young rappers exhibit the same incisiveness.

I play this solo on my alto and I imagine you can too....you are going to be one of the great ones Joell, with that ear , pitch and musicality.
