Everytime I hear this song I think of my dad. When I was little he'd put this tape in the car all the time. It's like I stored all of these songs in my heart and listening to them again now, almost 20 years later they just awaken something in me. Especially this song. Wow, years ago I got myself a copy of the Berlin Waldbühne concert from his Serious Hits tour... It is full of songs; containing even more than the cd version which was recorded in America.

But... I could not find this beautiful song on that dvd. Amazing! Either he didn't play the song in Berlin, or it's recording was skipped for the huge dvd-registration of that concert.

Thanks for posting this nice addition to the huge worldwide PC live collection!

Oh indeed it was a special trip. I had no idea that footage the roadie shot of my brother and I holding that banner would make its way to a music video about 7 years later. As far as tunes that are similar, some people correctly point out that this live version starts out sounding like the beginning of "Groovy Kind of Love", but I tend to see all of Phil's songs as being pretty unique. Although I love his solo work, I favor his Genesis work above everything else he's done. He's legendary!

Singers come and go it seems! Phil Collins, lives on in my heart and memory for I shared his music with my late wife so many, many times. An exceptionally fine artist, his music will live on for generations to come. We saw him live in Brisbane back in 1996. That was an experience I relive over and over because we got up to dance and the security people tried to stop us. Phil said "Leave them alone you.. let them enjoy themselves. Come on all of you DANCE!" Those that could get up and dance? Did.
