the biggest Tsunku blunder wasn't failing to see Yukirin's potential. It was selecting Aika instead. if he had picked another winner instead of Aika then OK but he picked Aika instead of Yukirin. worked out great for Yukirin so it was less a mistake in the grand scheme of things and more a big loss for Morning Musume.
@fizz5401 If he had only picked Yukirin, Sumire, and Aika MM would've been so much better and we wouldn't have been stuck with 2yrs+ of Ai, Reina, Risa, and Eri led singles (maybe anyway).
i think it all worked out for the better.. yukirin wouldnt have grown to be who she is right now or deserve the attention she is getting in akb48 if she had got into mm. Morning Musume is still my favorite girl group in Japan, and I still don't understand why AKB48 is so popular. I remember like... one full name and four faces. Only serious AKB otakus with an abundance of time can memorize all of the members. It's too much work.
@faifantc I am not an otaku of any sort (just ignore my username please it has nothing to do with me), nor do I spend time studying their names or something, but I know all of AKB which is like 60+ girls with the kenkyuusei. I came to know alI their names just by seeing shows they are in, same with H!P. All of H!P including OG's, is just as much as AKB, just in separate groups. But obviously you don't pay attention to AKB so why would you know the members anyways? It's not hard at all actually~

@solbi2008 Koha can sing fine. That's why she has solo songs out. They just put her into the wrong group. Her voice doesn't match up with many of Momusu's recent songs. Tsunku making a mistake for not picking Yukirin? I don't think so. Can hide a bad singer in AKB48, not as easy in Momusu.

I don't think Tsunku made a bad choice passing on Yuki . She is a good singer and shes pretty. Tsunku probably thought that she would fit into the idol world then just a japanese singer. Idol and Singer are DIFFRENET. And Yuki is the leader of Team B and has gained popularity.

after joining AKB, Yukirin has the best selling idol photobook for 2009, she also works as a weather girl for a news station involved in all types of variety shows including their own weekly shows. tons of magazine spreads. involved in a drama.. etc etc

Sad but probably true. Although I wouldn't necessarily say it in those word. I didn't know who this girl was until now, but she seems to be a good singer. If she had joined MM she would probably still be in the background. Maybe in a couple of years she would've had her time to shine, but not anytime soon. So to hear that she is doing so well now is pretty cool I guess.

@Aikaprojects have you seen H!P's photo books? -_- Seriously I love both H!P and AKB, but seeing H!P fans like this makes me angry. ALL idols do gravure, bikini, etc. stuff, including H!P and akb's were summer PV's, and most of them are wearing shorts or skirts over as well. C-ute dances around in tiny tube tops and shorts but no one goes around saying "what sluts" like they do with akb -_-; (not that you said that, just people have over the whole bikini thing)
