Hey I go for moose too and ill shoot a grouse when i see it! 22 shorts are super quiet but like that first grouse you should have had man! My suggestion is a .410! All headshots and zero meat damaged. The only one i messed up was i spooked a few i didnt see and they flew over the road i was on and i managed to pick one of the two out of the air, that one ruined some meat :(

Personally I prefer the 20 gauge but always carry the 22lr for the long shots !

Bought a receiver cover off Ebay, It's a UTG, you may need to file it a bit to fit but it is snug and stays zero. Don't buy the crappy one with the set screws, I chucked mine out.

Just put on a 3x9-40 tactical from crosshairs.ca way better than the 4x I had.
