I was really bummed when steve died cuz i thought he had alot of potential and was going to go places. andrew's death was really tragic for me because it's hard to see a kid like that be so tortured and pushed to the edge like that. He didn't deserve any of the shit people took out on him. I guess you could say I relate a bit because i used to be kind of a social outcast. His story could've ended happily if he'd just ran away to Tibet or something. :(

Tbh, theres enough for a sequel.

1. Matt's still alive. He want's info and swore to get it.

2. Everyone saw Andrew use his powers and killed. The government couldn't keep that secret hidden.

3. The crystal is still there. Some one is going to find it.

I'd rather not see some alien prequel for it and a sequel with someone else using the powers.

However if they did, they should spend a really long time on the storytelling, because that's usually where sequels fail. The storytelling in Chronicle was epic and the pacing was very well thought out. Hate to see this turn into one of those epic movies with a shitty sequel.

Okay, I haven't seen this movie yet but, Here's what I want to know, Did the Special effects look fake in that movie, tell me some of the parts that was sad, and when they went in that Crater or whatever, did it show what was down there that zapped them and gave them those powers. The special effects are amazing for a low budget movie like this. You can really see how the character TK powers advance over the story' especially Andrew. Even if the effects were bad this movie is so much better than the shitty high budget movie's hollywood keeps spitting out.

And two yes they show what is down there I don't want to spoil it for you (you can reply back and tell me if you want me too) exactly what it is remains mysterious though.

@bRoKeN21JuGGaLo Ok the three main characters go down into a hole and go down a really long tunnel and at the end of it is some kind of blue crystal structure. It makes these little noise and when one of the characters touch it, it turns red and throws them out of the hole. when they go back the hole has been covered and blocked off by the government. What the crystal really is was kept secret on purpose for sequel potential, at the end one of them swears to find out what it is.

If they made it, they've ruined it. Think about it like this - So Matt is looking for what the crystals is => Matt have found it => that's it, nothing else. If they've added up something unnecessary into the film (let's say the military also got these powers), they've ruined the whole point of these three's Chronicle for an answer ;)

@orihalchon Yeah there isn't much to go on for a sequel. I don't even want to know what the crystals are exactly because that ruins the mystique surrounding it.

Like if they told me oh it's actually a sentient crystal that thinks it's God handing down powers to people so that they can exterminate their species and breed more super powered humans and that evolution never really existed these crystals actually just change our genes through natural selection.
