It's kind of weird, but I find it a bit hard to get into the gospel drummers of today, for some reason. Back in the day, I guess as a percussionist/trap player, we focused on trying to communicate with other performer/drummers. We use to set up like this and "talk" back and forth and "shed", but we were just jamming/practicing, trying to "share" our wealth of knowledge with others present. Maybe the "chops" of "today" is the "lingo" of the era. "?"
