This is a nice guitar to lend it to begginers, I need one of these, because sometimes my suckish friends come over to my house and see my Epiphone black beauty and play it like shit, Im afraid they can cause any damage on it, so I'll just let them play the crap.
got a good deal on a bridge p94, had nothing to put it in so i went and bought one of these jrs for 85 bucks. There total crap... frets needed some work, the neck fit the body terrible but it was good when i stuck a pick in between the neck and the body, tuning pegs eat poop...but i have a strange love for this guitar now very unique with the real high end pickup,,,yea i know 85 for a guitar and 125 for a pickup...criminal...but it is a dirty bastard with a nigger rigged setup
I'm going to get this guitar from a friend it'll be my second guitar and well I'm short of cash and I need a Backup guitar for my gigs with my band is this a good guitar to play Metal? not to extreme stuff like Slayer or that shit but stuff Like Maiden, Zeppelin and Sabbath? I'm a rythm player so Im not to bothered for the single humbuckker since I use my bridge humbucker most of the time in my other guitar
I Have A Junior Like This But I Customized It, Painted It Red And Put A Seynour Duncan Invader Pickup In It. It Sounds Great For Pretty Much Anything Now. I Play Avenged Sevenfold On It Mostly.
yeah man its an amazing guitar for the price!! not to mention if you know what your doing and you mod it i bought mine for 99 dumped prob another 200 hundred in it and honestly i can't tell the difference between the gibson...don't be fooled with gibson's over priced products
but if you got the money and want the real deal. get a billie joe armstrong LP junior signature. H-90 pickup, plus his signature on the back of the headstock equals one happy ending lol.
tell me about it. My band's singer/guitarer has one, played it through this really nice Marshall amp in my high school's band room it literaly sustains for minutes, and it's got a really amazing sound...with a good amp haha.
I think this guitar has a humbucker? If you want the real deal and can stretch the budget a little bit there was a model by Gibson called the Les Paul Melody Maker made from 2003-2007. Of course some people turn up their noses at it for different reasons but that's how things are. It has a P90 and records just like a Gibson Les Paul Junior. I own both models and have recorded both and they are soooo similar. Also this model has a tune-o-matic bridge so you can intonate it properly.
I had a play of one of these Chinese ones with the humbucker. It's not that bad, but it's really not that good. Like all Epiphoneies it's nothing like a real one if that's what you are thinking but it's a step in that direction. I had many different guitars which where cheap. The one I felt most creative on was a Samick Les Paul copy. Copies let you get a bit of a feel for a guitar style without the bucks. Look at OLP giving people a musicman toe in the water. Some people then buy the real one.
Yeah, it's out of tune. The tuners on the 99 dollar Epiphone are pretty crappy. I had tuned the guitar about a half an hour before actually playing the thing. I think the video of my Les Paul studio is much better.
I bought that guitar a week ago for my 15th b-day
i wanted to keep it at school for jazz band so i can keep my good Washburn at home, turns out i like the junior more, it has decent tuners and great playability but i wanna throw in an emg >:)
Crazy stuff man...I have the same guitar but I definitley made some modifications. I changed the shity pickup and put some decent tuners on it. Its not a bad guitar now.
good songs have to make it longer

@Macsk8ing Also makes a nice back-up guitar when your other guitar is at your friend's house. Alone. Being Neglected. in a corner.
I miss my geetah... T_T
