they changed the name because they wanted to change the channel format. since the channel is now more focused on the action (police chases, etc), they felt court tv was inappropriate since it was associated with courtroom drama.
No clue. I don't know why they can't leave things alone. Look at how many times the Nashville Network changed its name... The Nashville Network, TNN, The National Network, The New TNN, Spike TV and now... "Spike."
One that SHOULD HAVE changed its name is MTV. They RARELY play music anymore... same with VH1.
And you're a technically impaired goon... go take a bunch of pictures of the video you're trying to record, print em out and place them in order then record yourself with your hi-tech vhs cam corder device flipping the pictures like a flip book. You might just get better quality.
I watched this instead of dick and his big ball. Although i do like dick and his ball but i gave up dick just to watch this. cuz this was the coolest thing ever.
I meant to DVR that myself. I was too busy watching the ball drop in NYC. I DVR'ed the NICK GAS changing to The "N" the day before and it was a seamless change with nothing big about it.

Glad to help! I put this online for my sister, because she loves/loved CourtTV. I didn't know that about GAS changing.
