@roger767 Yes I can help. First off you don't need to format the FS for any specific file format. Since it is network based (i.e. a NAS) the underlying Filesystem is completely transparent to end users. So that means that using the network a MAC and a PC (Windows XP or Vista or 7) can access the FS simultaneously.

If you do decide to go with the FS, note that it will format all your drives to EXT3 (I think) which is a Linux Filesystem.

@z00100 maybe you can help, do you need to format drobo FS into ntfs or hfs. I have a normal drobo but that has a ntfs format. making it impossible to use with macs.
