After having viewed this footage dozens of times, I am still amazed how father-like this silver back father is to his kids, as he took a break from eating to "baby sit" them, allowing their mothers to forage, & letting the youngsters play safely, wrestling with each other, next to him, climbing all over him, from the tiny baby to the bigger adolescent; and with him even joining in on the play, by scooting over to them & gently, playfully biting them. Beautiful, extraordinary footage.
This is how these giant, intelligent, & family oriented majestic creatures are supposed to be: with happy babies playing under the watchful eyes of their parents; climbing onto Dad's back, jumping on it... Contrast/compare this incredible footage to those captured, bred, & exhibited in dirt-filled zoos... who are dazed, confused, bored, & disturbed-looking, since all they do their whole lives is walk around in circle in their 30x50 ft enclosures.
Gorillas are so odd to look at in that position because their backs are so, well, curved! I always expect them to have slightly straighter backs, so I can't help thinking, "Geez, his back will be sore if he keeps laying like that!" lol, it makes his bum stick out a little, too. XD
Beautiful...thank you for sharing.

All I know is that for much of human history animals have recieved little respect as far as their well being and feelings are concerned.
I had just watched several video's about animals which stirred me to state my feelings.
As for being a dumb ass - I'd much rather be that than be a person such as yourself,
who seems to delight in attempting to insult others.
Perhaps you ought to lighten up a bit and accept the fact that we can't all be as intelligent as YOU.

Life in prison.
No parole.
Just for being who and what they are.
