You can find a used Evo for under $20k. Its an infinitely better car than the 350z. It's got way more potential. 350z's aren't worth a damn right now because nobody wants them. Don't hold that against the Evo.

It's a platform you can easily and cheaply build on, much like the 03-04 Cobra, LS1 f-bodies and Neon SRT-4. 350z's require lots of time and money to be serious performers.

Yes, if you put a turbo kit on a stock 350z, it would be unreliable. The engine is high compression, and the internals aren't forged. It's not an ideal turbo setup by any means.
Forced induction means cheap power upgrades. It's a long way to the top with n/a (except for cars with a large heads/cam aftermarket.. the 350z is definitely NOT in this category). I would take a turbo 4 over an n/a v6 any day!

If the 350z was turbo from the factory it would have been a blockbuster for the same reason Supra turbo's are so sought after today. The Neon SRT-4 wasn't popular because of its looks or stock performance. I'll leave it at that.
Well if Nissan put turbos on the 350z factory than what would be the point of the SKYLINE GTR which is pretty much a Z with a turbo and AWDm they just did it to make money, keep the company, business, name etc....... you know how it is.
When the 350z came out, you couldn't even buy a skyline in north america! For five years the 350z was nissans top of the line sports car in the USA.

13.5~13.7 is about average for the 2007, since they put the HR version of the motor in. Cool ambient temps with warm tires could probably get a bit lower than that.

i mean c5 has what 345 to 350 hp and a z has 307 hp which a z is a v6 with 3.5 L and a c5 is a v8 with 5.7 L dame not far away from it with power, they weight like the same, 3200-3300 , and Z's are cheaper so wow that nitros c5 did not kill the z by that much but so imagine stock vs stock ,c5 would beat it by a little but cheaper car 2 less cylinders, and lots more liters less then it close hp and weight i stick to my z, until the 370 z or the gtr comes available here LoL

It can beat one stock, and I mean a C5 vette can. I was actually sad about that because I really did want a Z, but then realized it really wasnt even close to the best bang for the buck

i mean c5 has what 345 to 350 hp and a z has 307 hp which a z is a v6 with 3.5 L and a c5 is a v8 with 5.7 L dame not far away from it with power, they weight like the same, 3200-3300 , and Z's are cheaper so wow that nitros c5 did not kill the z by that much but so imagine stock vs stock ,c5 would beat it by a little but cheaper car 2 less cylinders, and lots more liters less then it close hp and weight i stick to my z, until the 370 z or the gtr comes available here LoL
