  • huh than what is hana tul set?

  • hey but i thought there was the other way to do it like hanna tu set net doset yoset ilgop yudern ahop yul well thats how my tae-Kwon-do instructer teaches us

  • This is the Sino-Korean number system, from what I under Sino is what is used more. The native-korean number system, is what everyone else is commenting about (Hana, dool, seht, neht, ect.). There are two different number systems used for different things in Korean.

  • Snsd speak in native korean or sino korean?

  • Basically similar to chinese pronunciation ...

  • this count is come from Han chinese it similar with chinese, Korea has influenced by chinese.

  • Awsome ! thank you .

  • Does the word four (like in Mandarin and Japanese) mean death? I'm just curious because I noticed in Japan some hotels didnt have a forth floor (its sort of like the the western taboo of the 13th floor)

  • @TechnoRaver94 yes it does the same thing with 8

  • @TheLuverofall interesting so 8 is the death number haha

  • It's easier for me in the other Korean...

Hana, Dul, Set, Net, Dasul and ect..

  • @puppylover22580795

    what is the different ..?

  • @hboOobah She counts Eel, ee, som , sa, o and ect..

while I count the other way which is : Hana, dul, set, net , dasol

  • @puppylover22580795 can you tell me 1-10 in the other version? Please and thanks!

  • @kaulitzchick1 It's Like this 1 : Hana ( Ha- Nah) 2 : Dul ( Like dool) 3 : Set ( Set, set the tablet! xD) 4 : Net ( Net- normal net) 5 : Dasot ( pronounce as Tosot ; Tall so) 6: Yosut ( Yah so) 7 : Ilgop ( eel gulp) 8: Yodul ( Yoohh dool) 9 : Ahop ( Ahh hope) 10 Yol (Yohl) Some maybe incorrect, but that's what I know.

  • @tweekatweeka13579 That's because she is counting in Chinese (HanJa) and not native (Choson'Mal).

  • uh... is it also: han du se ne daseos yeoseos ilgob yeodeolb ahob & yeol????? Please answer soon someone!

    thank you~~

  • @LGHQ1 Go check out Koreanovernight on youtube. He explains that there are two different ways. This is best answer I can give. HAHA

  • @LGHQ1 il i sam sa o blablabla this is sino korean and hana dul set net blablabla this is pure Korean. Korean vocabulary is a mixture of pure Korean and Chinese derived words

  • Oh I have so many questions. What's the difference between "native" korean and sino-korean numbers. In an ordinary situation, what will you use? (if you want to count, 1, 2, 3, 4 dogs running in the park :P)

  • @ermac210 when it comes to just counting (for example, 1,2,3,4, ......) , both can be used. but when it comes to quantifying (for example, 4 dogs, 7 cars), it depends on which quantifier is used, which you may learn at the higher level. you've better buy some proper grammar based learning books if you really want to be able to communicate practically.

  • EEL!! EE!! SOM(ANY)!!

    SA!!O!! (gibberish)

    YUCK!

    Chill,pal!

    Go sheep

    this is how i remember

  • She has 10 as Sheeb, but I thought it was pronounced more as Ship?

(10 out of 10 2PM, Ship jeome majeome ship jeome?) (Fail romanization)

  • Korean numbers have two different system

  • Korean numbers have two system

  • that's actually sino-korean numbers..

  • @1629ZeroCool

  • @cookiesJar48 theres 2 ways of counting in korean, native korean and sino-korean

  • @superpowers23 Oh haha thanks >_<

  • Sino Korean? Though Sino Korean numbers need to be learned as well you need to do Native Korean numbers too! Both equally important!

  • this is diferent system. i can count to 3 in the other way. hana, tul, set

  • @tweekatweeka13579 um its hana dool set but whatever xD

  • @TheMapleDreamer d in korean sound like a t at times and u sounds like oo... but what ever...

  • @tweekatweeka13579 I can count to 4. Bit then I forget 5 6 7 8 and 9, and I remember 10 - -'

  • @tweekatweeka13579 yeah, they taught me that like ages ago in tae kwon do.

  • @tweekatweeka13579 Yeah, in the video it's sino korean numbers. Hana Dul Set Net..... Is Native Korean :3

  • @tweekatweeka13579

    which one is right?

  • @maddyjanetheelf Well, the video counts in Hanja, which is the Chinese inspired Korean language. Hana, tul, set is Hangul, the native Korean language. Honestly, there is no RIGHT one .... my [Korean] friend counts in Hanja, but I'm pretty sure (and don't hold me to this) that Hangul is the most used one. Korean teachers recommend learning both, but if you just want to learn one, the safest bet would be Hangul.

  • @tweekatweeka13579

    thanks:)

  • @tweekatweeka13579 Hana, dul, set, net, da sot, yo sot, il gop, yo dul, a-hop, yoll! :)

  • @frustrerad1 Yeah! I learned that 'cause I'm in taekwondo! Then why is this different? D:

  • influence*

  • thats the Chinese infulence of counting in korean :S
