this was, assuming it is, borgification taking place you would be near incapacitated whilst the nanoprobes rewrote your DNA and replicated borg tech in you bodily systems.....the prosethic equipment has to be added at least this process takes like 30 min gosh not 20 sec

This story makes no damn sense! He was going to inject the borg, then suddenly he injects himself? He wakes back up ten seconds later with FULL borg implants in time t save his friends when only 10 seconds have passed? Then the crew doesnt even react to him being a borg or comment on it? What is going on??

Don't forget that he got assimilated via power drill. Maybe that particular Borg was just skillful enough with a power drill to build implants really fast.

They were in an episode of TNG too. The Borg got in a firefight on a federation outpost and were shooting the same way. Kinda makes you wonder why they don't use them more often
