It's not really that they liked using explosions, but that's what their powers revolved around. Explosions that could destroy what was aimed at. It's a poor connection, but it's something.
Well, yea, you are right, but to be honest Kira's explosions, his bombs, are a little different from Flandre's (I never actually made it to Flandre, so maybe I'm just talking bull). Because Kira's more resolved and more about tactic, while Flandre's more about just destroying everything in her path.
@DrunkenCoward1 I actually just thought of one. It states, on the wiki, that Flandre usually blows up humans without leaving a drop of blood. Kira's specialty was that he could cover up his murders by completely destroying the body.
XDDD Awesomeness!! No wonder ZUN is a fan of JJBA XDD
I freaking love this btw~!! XD PRAISEEEE! XD

Sure he is. Yuugi, the Oni who fights without dripping her alcohol? A reference to Jonathan having to fight a zombie without spilling a glass of wine.
Or what about Sakuya? Stops time, throws knives (works for a vampire). A reference to DIO the antagonist of Part (1 and) 3.
I bet there are more, but I can't think of any others.

Yeah. I eventually found a lot of them out. Though I never considered Yuugi being a reference. Don't forget about Yukari being Sticky Fingers.

@the4everbond
I didn't think Yuugi was a reference either, but she definietly is one of my favorite references.
I wonder, is there any Joseph references in Touhou?
Sticky Fingers is Part 5 right? I'm not that far yet, I just finished Part 4.
DrunkenCoward1 4 months ago
Yep. Sticky Fingers is part 5.
I remember I somehow found a connection between Flandre and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure once, But don't really remember. I think I compared her to Kira.

@the4everbond
Flandre and Kira?
...damn I can't think of any connection...
Maybe, that both of them like to fight with explosions? But just because of that, that doesn't mean she's a reference, hmm...

This is only speculation.

@darthcolonius
Makes perfect sense though.
As soon as you mentioned that, the scene where Kira makes that woman explode came into my head...
But Kira liked to keep one of his victim's hands... well whatever, I'm just digging to deep now lol
