just learning, your intervals are confusing, if a 2nd is 2 half steps, a 3rd 4 half steps, then your notes are wrong? can you help me out here???

@edmondluvmercedes: I hope I am right about this... major seconds in her example are G-A, A-B, and C-D. Minor second interval is B-C. Major third is G-B, but B-D and the often forgotten A-C are minor thirds.

Don't ever teach on the keyboard. It's just not the same as piano. And I would concentrate on the hand position a lot more in the beginning. I would spend a couple of first lessons on staccato touch and legato. And never teach movable "Do" system.

the keyboard position is too high...your elbows should roughly be in the same position as the keybed.
