Hi mate. This might be a stupid question but I honestly don't know. When the sea is polluted with oils and whatnot, how come people continue to swim in the sea afterwards? Is it because the oil sinks to the surface of the sea making it okay to go swimming in?

gay, fuck the ocean, nothing positive comes from the ocean, except the oil we get from it, so what if we fuck the ocean up with pollution, we dont need any organisms that lives in the sea, and if we ever need water from the ocean it wont matter if its all fucked up with pollution, we will always be able to filter and treat the water for are drinking specifications. Final thoughts: The only thing negative from my theory, is we would be scarce on sea food, fuck the ocean abahbahahbahabhabhabha

I highly recommend you rethink what you just said.

If we lost the ocean, then half our oxygen supply would be gone. Why? Because Phytoplankton (microscopic organisms which use photosynthesis, so a PLANT) would become extinct. You don't believe me, look it up. Plus, we would die due to the extreme lack of oxygen. Also, since the ocean covers over 70% of the earth's surface, billions of organisms die. If you think you can live without the ocean, fine by me.
