  • Geldof singing In The Flesh sounds like Jim Carrey doing a Roger Waters impression

  • @ 1;15-1;16, why would it be awful? Answer: Because we are taught that it would be awful. I think it would be better than the overrunning of our countries that multiculturalism has brought. At least we would have a fighting chance then.

  • Bob Geldof sucks at singing. no offence lol

  • Roger is making millions upon millions and his brother is a cab driver...nice.

  • @CityslickCaptain what's wrong with driving cabs?

  • @CityslickCaptain is his brother a musical genius?

  • @slatejob11 If I was a musical genius, there's no way anyone in my family would be driving a cab for a living.

  • @CityslickCaptain Thats not what i asked. And besides, if you feel so strongly about it, just become a genius, make a succesful band, have a brother, convince him to become a cab driver, then give him a couple million and problem solved!

  • @slatejob11 I appolgize. I assumed your question was rhetorical. I'm a tad surprised you would think that I would know whether or not his brother is a musical genius. Having said that, I'm inclined, given that he is, or was a cab driver, to doubt that he is a musical genius, but, of course, I can't say for sure. Perhaps if you did a little research you could find the answer to your question.

  • @CityslickCaptain it was rhetorical, buddy

  • waters´ version of the taxi story is a bit stronger than geldof´s, but just a tiny little bit, hahaha chi chi chi!!!))) waters´ most likeable moment to me so far on youtube!!!

  • No offense, I've never actually heard any of Bob Geldof's work, but the dude's voice is... kinda laughable. Haha, but he is a great choice for the character.

  • @slovok If you've heard the song "I don't like Mondays..." you've heard Geldof, that's the one that is remembered..

  • Pink is: 80% Roger Waters, 15% Syd Barrett, 5% A mixture of other peoples anecdotes and experiences

  • @ElFrankus

you are: 80% ignorant, 15% deaf & 5% a mixture of bullshit and gobblecocky.

Syds influence is nonexistent in who they became and the other 3 are what made the band.

Is that you Syd? I thought you were dead...

  • @carolinainfidel Oh Yeah. "Pink" is ..John Lennon... better read before talking B.S..

  • interesting how parker justifies his big head with the staus DIRECTOR, while he says "the posessive is always roger, WHATEVER HE DOES IN LIFE" --- GO WATERS GO, this movie is placentar crap anyway, it is the wall show we all wanna see!!!

  • Rogers "HE HE HEEE!!!!" is the best.

  • Bob Geldof is the ex-husband of Paula Yates.

  • I just made a personal ringtone from 2:55 to 3:00

  • bob geldof is a cunt, he ruined the film and the songs he sung, waters should of played pink, like they were originaly going to do, but no, that twat director wanted to do his version, cock sucker

  • @BLS060606 agrred - parker made great films, but geldof in a floyd movie shows that he has no heart for the matter at all!

  • @MoveOverCasanova no heart at all

  • @BLS060606 did you have to do with him personally?

  • For fuck sake .... Bob Fucking Geldof.

  • bob your a fucking dubass to say that pink floyd is shit

  • You know what I don't understand... why is brother of Roger Waters, one of the richest musicians of that time, driving a cab?

  • @Ahil982 Brothers of famous people always get the shaft.

    three words, Edgar Allen Poe.

  • @Ahil982 Yeah seriously. W. T. F.

  • bob geldof is the angelina jolie of british music scene --- such a joke, big big mouth, and pretty little legitimation to play world moral cop no. 1

  • Bob Geldof did great in the movie but in real life he is so-so. I guess it's hard for me to like anyone who hates the Floyd lol

  • @jwild611 Bob geldoff was ok, but i hated the way he sung the songs

  • i love the way that bob geldof come up to the shower screen and opens it like a horror as he says bob geldof

  • Wai... Roger's brother is a cab driver? haha come on give him some bucks Roger!

  • @lrock43l Back when the Wall was going on, Pink Floyd was financially fucked.

  • What would've happened if Parker had cast Roger as Pink for the movie??

  • to me personally, the movie for the wall was really uneccessary. just a really long music video. they should have stuck with just the album.

  • The band was HOT, the album was frigin awesome, the movie was cool, but Bob Geldoff truly SUCKED... plus they shouldn't have fiddled with the mix, and they should have had some live footage... but still thoroughly awesome

  • I've always wished that they'd scrapped Geldof's voice and used either the original material or some rerecorded songs for the film (sung by Waters and Gilmore fo course). Geldof's just got a terribly weak and whiny voice and every tune he 'tries' to sing in the film falls flat, IMO. His acting was okay but the vocals are horrendous

  • roger please don't ever do an irish accent you suck at it ha ha, stick to playing bass and singing :)

  • Why to people always feel the need to air their negative opinions, i mean does anyway really give a toss what you think.

  • hee hee hee

  • fucking hilarious story

  • What sorta camera were they using before the movie was made? doesn't that look sort of a thriller movie quality?

  • no its just youtube movie qualty lol

  • i still think that if roger was the main character, this movie would be even greater. but that's just my opinion, so don't kill me ppl lol

  • Geldofs a hopeless twit who's best work was I Don't Like Mondays and even that was bullocks. He did a terrible job w/ that film. Waters would have been a much better choice because he's got more depth and range than Geldof. The decision to cut different tracks for the film and use Geldof's voice for some of the bits resulted in a film that bombed both commercially and critically (only later becoming a cult hit). It's all that that wanker Geldof's fault. He's such a knob.

  • bob geldof may be a "knob" but he did organize live aid and other world fundraising events

  • and was the only one able to get floyd back together again. Thank god for bob.

  • live aid is nothing but pure bs, geldof should roll over and die. live aid never helped anybody but the washed up musicians who shamelesly promoted it. live aid cost more money than it ever raised for the poor

  • @sausageslaps

I think you're mistaking that for Live 8. Live Aid raised millions for the poor, although there is controversy over its use. If you are referring to live aid you're an idiot for referring to bands such as Queen and The Who who played there as "washed up".

  • @TheYahara i think you are right, i meant live 8, nothing more than shamless self promotion. i think i was sauced when i wrote this cause i cant quite recall writing this

  • i do hate his voice

  • Yeah, it's sorta whiny and thin. Waters doesn't have a great voice either (from a technical POV) but it's got alot of character and fits perfectly with PF's music. Why they decided to rerecord some of the songs with Geldof's voice is beyond me. The album was a huge success at the time so the film should have done well. Instead, it completely tanked at the box office. Geldof's shoddy acting and vocals were probably the main reasons why it failed.

  • Actually, they wanted Roger to play Pink, but they thought, as this was only semi-biographical, they thought that would be going to deep.

  • I always remember the scene with the cigarette burning between the fingers.

  • 3:00 :)

  • lol@ 3:00 .. HEE HEE HE

  • HAHAHA Roger's giggle at 3:00. I watched that about 7 times...

  • "...I couldn't have written all that stuff without acknowledging my dark side." Well, thats assuming he's got a light one. He's pretty much just one big dark side...a brilliant one, of course.

  • Well, let's say he's got a dark side and a less-dark side ^^

Btw, that giigle at 3mn gets me everytime too, seen it again again. And, that is his less-dark side I think. He's such a lovely human. Very genuine and touching.

  • @labitajojo Yeah I used to see him all the time when I lived on Long Island.

  • I like geldofs scene where he sings in the movie, stop being so rude with your opinion.

  • at 5:28 Geldolf resembles Alan from two and a half men (Jon Cryer)

  • jon cryer resembles matthew broderick (ferris Bueler)!

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • All you young, musically illiterates out there--Geldof organized Live Aid. Look That Up.

  • and Live 8 and was PERSONALLY responsible for getting Floyd to reunite

  • the guy who plays pink reminds me of the lead singer of the boomtown rats

  • it is lol

  • i know i looked him up haha

  • it is the lead singer

  • lol Roger's Irish accent

  • 2:58 ^^ He is so cute ( hihi )^^ I <3 Roger

  • I wonder if Geldof has his nipple now hahaha

  • Urrgh @ Bob Geldof's singing around 5:00.

  • Alan Parker at 5:39

  • sorry i ment the guy who is sitting in 5:39

  • 2:59-3:03- scary laughter! makes me laugh

  • who is that guy sitting in 5:20 ?

  • lol looks like david gilmour !!!

  • it's look like syd to me

haven't you notice that david and syd kinda look like each other when they became older ?

  • i just remember from syd that he had not long hair like david got at the wall album.

well if its not dave or syd this guy reaaalllyyy look like

  • well i guess your right great documantry

    RIP syd & rick

  • in a way, close up pictures of old syd is totally different though, same eyes as always, but with an aged body, it's creepy to look at pictures of syd in his older years.

  • To this day i cannot comprehend their genius

  • Rogers laugh about his brother is priceless lol.

  • @FsEtNrDaEtR92 Ohm, no! I think you misunderstood the subject.

  • WHEN I WAS A KID A THOUGHT GELDOF WAS ROGER WATERS......... but then when i was a kid i thought pink floyd was roger waters name!

    wow i was confused!

  • hahahaha, I though Pink Floyd was a person.

Like you I though Geldof was pink floyd because in the movie his name was pink, that confused the crap out of me.

I could not believe when I learned Pink Floyd was a band and Geldof had nothing to do with the band

  • haha thats funny....... i thought i was the only one!

  • haha, I always knew that pink floyd was a band but I thought led zeppelin was one guy :P

  • when i was a kid i thought the race 4 the whitehouse was a real race, who got there 1st was the president.

  • haha thats funny!

  • i thought pink floyd was a crayola color until i heard it on the radio when i was 8

  • lol

  • its depressing me listening to geldof attempting to explain anything in general. i wonder if he even had any idea what was going on at that time.

  • i agree, i belive the best pink floyd is when waters and glimour wrote together. with gilmours cutting guitar and waters driving bass, it was indeed sheer bliss. DSOTM and The Wall are in my opinion some of the best albums ever written.

  • Hitler wouldn't relinquish control either.

  • I think Roger could have played Bob's part very well.

    But not as well.

  • remember Geldof wasn't an actor either , but a musician as well . I always thought Roger should have played the part as well , he did live beforehand ...

  • Every floyd album i different and every floyd album is a track in its own right. Listen and if u like it praise them if u dont give a valid reason why then leave it at that. Pink Floyd are one of those love or hate bands

  • Quote: 'Am i the only one that thinks the wall is overrated?' No, but you are in a minority.

Also, to call The Wall boring and then go on to praise On an Island is hilarious. On an Island defines boredom. The usual Gimour fare; dull music and dreadful lyrics. Amused to Death is the solo Floyd record to own.

  • pink floyd wouldnt be pink floyd without David Gilmour. Their best music came when Waters and Gilmour worked together (meddle, dsotm, wall)...the final cut, mainly a roger waters album, lacks the sweet gilmour guitar, and on an island lacks the waters driving bass line. they need eachother. both equally genious.

  • Amused to Death for the win!

  • Great stuff!

  • Juft have to claw your way through thif difguife! ;-)

  • Hahahahahahah!!!!

  • ahahahaahahahahahahahah

  • 02:57

    Oh Christ he's lovely!

  • i agree.. fully.. gimme a thumbs down all you want.. but all the posers listen to the wall.. if u like the floyd.. look up some of their stuff thats post dark side.. its mind blowing

  • i listen to the wall and i also listen to piper at the gates of dawn. u call that a poser.

  • The wall IS post darkside.

  • i can only sigh over and over again at this post

  • YES I TOTALLY AGREE. He's a good actor though, and he doesn't sing that often, so it's OK.

  • killlll him!!!

  • HAHA, Roger's giggling is REALLY funny. Made me laugh so hard I had to watch it over and over again. Hardcore. XDD! That man is so funny... Brilliant, of course. But funny.

  • And his Irish accent... hehehehehe! I showed that clip to my Irish PE teacher once, I thought she was gonna burst a blood vessel or something 0_o XD

  • Who Are You Talking About?

  • i think he is talking about bob.

  • And I think he was talking about Roger imitating Irish accent and not about Bob.

  • Did you read the bloody post?

  • haha! roger's brother, ''what bob didn't know was that the cap driver was my brother hahahaha HEEHEEHEE!'' lol, roger that was funny

  • That is what you call "Foot in Mouth Disease" LMAO!!

  • The Wall was a work of art but people should realize there is more to the Floyd then The Wall, Wish You Were Here and Dark Side Of The Moon. There is more to them then the stuff you hear on the radio.

  • yeah man I totally agree, you should try the division bell, that's my favoutite after the wall, and meddle, so yeah get some of the older stuff

  • funny that when they were younger, gilmour was better looking, and roger looked, well, weird. but older? roger looks better than he ever has!!! hey roger-interested in a 40-something yank, vera-like??? lol!

  • yeah that's weird, roger was HORRIBLE!! ugly as himself, and david didn't have the shark face like he has now xD

  • David's lips, especially in the early days, make him look really effeminate

  • he looks like a shark xD

  • He does not have a shark face now. More like a lizard. But a badass Lizard guitarist. ROCK ON!!!

  • shark shark

  • Dark movie but very very innovative. Roger waters is the best.

  • Thanks for sharing that one. Informative interviews and excellent footage of those historical performances. Pink Floyd are absolutely in a class all their own. Thanks again for the video, sabeltann.

  • Well being different sucks nob, LOL same i just wanted to be different but awesome brilliant fill it nicley :D

  • What are you talking about?

  • Fuck off you Fucking Cunt, if you don't like them why the Fuck did you buy the album and watch the documentary you ass wiping cunt?!

  • Awsome
