I marched '89 Regiment & we toured all over the southwest with BD, following them on every night. This guy was rock solid consistent & NEVER missed. Incredible player, not just for his range, but for his technical ability & musicianship. I know that the world remembers him for those few seconds, but I'll remember him for the show in Wichita Falls, TX where he played it so beautifully, with just the perfect amount of vibrato, it took my breath away. I've heard he's a successful attorney now.
@goldsmith1210 LOL... I wouldn't worry about it. Many many people have posted the solo clip, made comments, etc. I'm sure he came to terms with that many years ago. I never met the guy, talked to him, or even remember his name. I just always want people who see that clip & know nothing else to know that he can not be defined by that moment in time. I loved listening to him on that tour & hope he still plays somewhere today.

Also, you may want to learn what the "shift" key on your keyboard is for, and do some research into the difference between "your" and "you're". It could go a long way towards making you look less ignorant.
@ILDJMike ok first if you had an understanding of what i was saying you would realize that i meant you can't be serious, are you shitting me, are you being sarcastic, all of those expressions are virtually the same. And all of the expressions mean the same thing. Second i do know what the difference between "you're" and "your", YouTube isn't a fucking English class so assumed most people wouldn't care about small things like that. cause most people bring that up to differ from the argument.
1) "your" an idiot if you claim to understand the rules of writing & know how to spell correctly, but consistently fail to do either. If you are not an idiot, at the very least, you show that at best you are mentally lazy, yet strangely proud & defensive of it.
2) In my response it was clear that I know what "you're kidding" means, but questioned why any thinking person would say that after reading my entire comment.
3) I incorrectly assumed you are a thinking person.

And to expect people to put forth alot of thought into the internet is sad.
I might get a few thumbs down too but I saw the performance....but I agree....
This was on finals night and he had a bad night.....can you imagine how he felt to let down the entire B.D. corps down because if he hit the notes right they clearly would've won the show
just in case no body knew, he was actually stung on the lip by a bee before this performance
