  • The BBC spent hours the other night discussing the fact of a "black" President. Barack is not "black" - he is mixed race. Rahm Emanuel is Jewish. Are we going to have another wasted load of time discussing that?

Gordon Brown, Britain's PM, is Scottish. Wow! Shall we have a debate on that too?

The nearest we should get to mentioning race in this election is the fact that Barack's new home will be the White House. No discussion there, I hope.

    Forget it. They're all p-e-o-p-l-e!

  • Your online Grammar Nazi here. YOUR design is good. YOU'RE happy because of your design. See?

  • obama won

  • america now is a country of black.

  • That's not true and it's not even close. Didn't you watch? Obama is not judging your white ass. Why don't you let him show you how the races will work together until people like you won't say such idiotic crap!

  • i am not a racist and i dont giv a damn about the history, politics and economy of the United States, I am an Asian, here in the far east. Here, we view america as the country of Black People. From Music, Politics, Sports, Showbiznes and all. I am sorry to offend your ego, but it is the real Truth. This is only an expression of my thoughts as what i have observed, as what the media feeds my awarenes about the United States. Hope I make it clear. Thanks

  • i've only voted once and that was in 2004 for kerry but i see obama as the best presidential candidate i've ever seen and he's already got my vote

  • "...the best presidential candidate i've ever seen". Quite right too. Great! All the right-wingers seem to be able to do is insult him, usually based on silly lies and bias. Only a few more hours till PRESIDENT OBAMA...

  • Silly comments to make and very uninformed. Anyway, looks like your country is doomed for the next 8 years, so get over it... Yes we can!!!

  • why do u say he is a terrorist i dont get it

  • You are a desperate gullible uninformed ram!!!!

He won last night. Maybe you should pack up and go live somewhere where you don't have the freedom to say vile and untrue things about an American President (number 44) and one who will take us all through a very hard time. Time for you to shut the fuck up!

  • Racists leave America!

  • Tayeko, Well done for saying that. I approve your message!!!

  • I would have carried this sign a few years ago but I really get what Obama is trying to do. He's going to gather an amazing group around him to fix Bush's bungling messes. They will be all races. Racists will never leave America. It lives in the tiny minds of hateful Americans. They hate me too. I am an Caucasian, Obama loving Atheist. I hope he respects Jeffersonian government and keeps religion out of our government. I trust him to do that.

  • I like this post of yours, cinderlynne: "He's going to gather an amazing group around him to fix Bush's bungling messes." Exactly!

  • Thanks. I like the way today's news conference is proving me right. I'm on his email list as I donated to his campaign. He can email and ask me to call my Senator or my Congressmen and ask them to vote the way I, a constituent, wishes them to vote. They work for us. They forget that sometimes.

  • Yep, it was a very interesting news conference - isn't it gonna be great to have a President who can actually talk?!? Who can string 3 words together? Who can say "nuclear"? What a difference for the American image!

  • Interesting, but I don't have an answer...

  • CHICAGO - The day after New Year's 1996, operatives for Barack Obama filed into a barren hearing room of the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners.

There they began the tedious process of challenging hundreds of signatures on the nominating petitions of state Sen. Alice Palmer, the longtime progressive activist from the city's South Side. And they kept challenging petitions until every one of Obama's four Democratic primary rivals was forced off the ballot.

    And the message ?
