Sylvanas is not a former blood elf OR night elf. Look up "Sylvanas death" you will see a video, she is a blood elf with blue eyes, called a "High elf" arthas killed her on his mount. She was then turned into a banshee, and she seeks revenge on arthas, and leads the undead army, known as the forsaken.

Just to make sure everyone knows. the Forsaken are Undead that broke free from the Lich kings grasp during the 3rd war, and Lead by the Banshi queen, who was the head ranger that protected the Sunwell. before it was destroyed, The lich king made her into a Banshi. the reason why she is a Night elf is because they didnt have any Blood elf models at first. If you dont get it still, Play through the warcraft games, like you should if you play wow or you wont get ANY of it. Also read the books.

She later broke free of his control, and her determination and strength of character inspired other free willed undead to STAY free of Arthas' control. THAT'S why she leads the Forsaken. Corny sure, but also an awesome storywhen experienced in it's entirety.

She was killed by Arthas but was then brought back to life by Arthas to live forever as a member of the scorge, but she later regained her free will and left the scorge and founded the Forsakein so that one day she could have her revenge on Arthas. ( who is aka The Lich King. )

@DarthYodaDenny silly goose, shes not a night elf... its goes like this, FIRST dar was the nightelves. when they (like retards) summon the burning legion, the queen with her "high borne" priests and whatnot escaped.... and formed the order of teh high elves. thru use of more magic they become paler, got green eyes ect... then the scourge fucked there shit and there prince renamed them teh blood elves to represent there thirst for vengence. and as far as i know, she is/was a blood elf ranger.. :)

She is a High Elf. Slaughterd by Arthas during his rampage trough Northren Lordereon. She was the Ranger General of Silvermoon City, she stood tooth to nail, but the Marauding Scourge was too strong, and eventually, she fell along with her comerades. Arthas knew she was a great General so he ressurected her and used her as one of his highest Generals. And when she broke loose of the grip of Arthas, she was filled by rage and thus she started her own Movement with other Undead that broke free.
