From what I gather though Australia is a big contributor of military resources to the UN peacekeeping mission, especially in places such as Timor. @Crypticit when i join the reserves(hopefully in june this year(there pretty much national gard)) we could be deployed to timor in holidays and such (still in high school) but yeah, Aus has allot of troops in the UN peace keeping area :) i like to think our military is being used right and as far as i can see it is in most cases but yeah some things are nessesary no matter how much you may not like it.

Seriously, I rarely see any of this from people who like other genres. My best friend who is the biggest metalhead around decides if he likes people or not by the type of music they listen to. @vamsterr The US government has legally stolen 1 trillion dollars off its people to fight in Afghanistan, not just in total military expenditures everywhere, just in the conflict in Afghanistan. Nothing to do with the Taliban, the war was for the economy.

@Crypticit mmm. well im a proud asutralian, most our missions over in afganistan, iraqext are usually for peaceKeeping, as opposed to PeaceMaking, or rebuild jobs. im not saying that we havnt done any bombing of our own, but we try to avoid it as much as possible. but do please comment if you would like to differ

@vamsterr Yes, countries do differ on the objectives of military deployment, I'm no expert on Australian deployment in Afghanistan so I guess I'll trust you. From what I gather though Australia is a big contributor of military resources to the UN peacekeeping mission, especially in places such as Timor. And you have a lot to be proud about as an Australian, for other reasons too ;)

@Crypticit when i join the reserves(hopefully in june this year(there pretty much national gard)) we could be deployed to timor in holidays and such (still in high school) but yeah, Aus has allot of troops in the UN peace keeping area :) i like to think our military is being used right and as far as i can see it is in most cases but yeah some things are nessesary no matter how much you may not like it.
