@Maniyk7390 Faro actually understands the game quite well. I didnt do Viktor because I felt like I couldnt do the review justice. I didnt get a ton of time to play with him and on top of that AP is probably my worst area in terms of types of champs I do well with. Im still making vids though.
i don't agree with you when you say that augment death is not cost efective because you for got the 3 ability power per level that you get for free. At level 18 he gets 54 free ap and with the 45 ap from the augment(or not) he gets a total of 99 ap and his passive on his E. Thanks for your atention

E is an EXTREME abilty and unlike Nid's javelin, this shit can hit multiple enemies, for max dmg, what ever range. add this in a CQ teamfight + ulti, and watch as the enemy team fall down a great dark abyss screaming WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
I never played Viktor but i think with this gold problem it should be something lik you dont have to pay for ur passive to upgrade but you should have atleast 1000 or whatever you need to upgrade so technically its free but u needto have atleast or 100 in ur gold thing when u buy it. is tht a good idea?

@Loverofnothing00 You're a baddie, Veigar has a kit designed for complete burst, he can't kill a whole team because his q+r revolve around 1 shotting and his w is useless unless you can stun the person your dropping it on (note I said the PERSON as in singular). Compared to brand and other ap champs who have AOE, veigar is useless.
As to your comment about yi and twitch not being good, i'd like to inform you that they're picked in high elo and are great, maybe not broken/op but they're good.
@IISmiteII yeah i agree, i personally find Veigar to be a top tier ap mage, but his main nuke (Q+R) is single target and if you get DFG than you can easily one shot people, and his stun is pretty nice, an instant AoE stun ruins anyone's day, but yeah most ap casters do most of their damage in AoE or at the very least have a reliable AoE (annie, brand, kassadin, ahri, gragas, even heimer with those damn rockets hahaha

One of my friends plays him and he always does really well... He just maximizes the damage of his E (so max first, augment, full AP). It damages a carry for about half of their health, and he doesn't even have to be close. It's a bit like nidalee's spear.
once again, you should always normalize the sound of the videos before you add it to youtube. It can be done in a few seconds for free in audacity. It's impossible to hear anything with volume this low.
@tomtefar1988 I use audacity to normalize and remove sound, the problem here is that I had to record this video while there were people with me. Part of the whole I was moving and and won't be back until the fifth bit that I said earlier.

I think if Viktor is played right he has some of the strongest poke in the game and can actually cleave off ridiculous amounts of HP from safety. The problem is that unless you're playing a poke team he's bad, as his dedicated fight damage output is drastically lower than the rest of the mages.

Clearly you didn't understand Faro was saying Le Blanc is one of the best LANERS in the game and I was referring to that too. Veigar is nowhere near one of the best laners, but thats totally different from his mid to late game, which he does amazing with enough farm. Everyone knows about his huge burst. The thing is smart players on most AP casters have enough range to sit back and avoid his stun and dodge his bomb (in lane this is), his ulti isn't enough on his own.
Anyway, he needs to get to 6 and successfully farm, common AP mids outclass him pre-6. Morgana (common top AP pick) pushes the lane to the tower, making it hard for him to farm or harrass, which he needs.
@leaguetopten I think leblanc is good (maybe the best) for harrass and killing single targets, BUT her minion killing isnt that great due to attack animation in comparison for example annie which can cs really easy with her Q. For that im not going to say shes the best laner, but she definately is atleast one of the best single damage AP heroes in the game, and that helps her lane drastically. If you can cs like missing one cs every 2 waves with her then you can consider her the best laner imo.
@kiba337 This is a no-no.. I could definitely see making it as cheap as to be cost-effective (cheaper than a blasting wand, imo), but it should be from the shop. Sitting in lane and randomly getting 50 AP at level 6 is too strong.

@kiba337 You have to have 1200 to buy it, but it only costs 1000. That's a problem with Riot doing hotfixes, as it can't adjust the actual cost that your client thinks it needs to purchase the item.

It wasn't mentioned that he gains 3 ap every lvl (I've only read about it myself in guides) but that and the ap from Augment Death will give u enough ap for it to be decent overall- almost 100ap at lvl 18. While the other ones give utility. I do agree he's got a lot of great skills that don't seem to work together as a whole. At least he doesn't have Eve's passive :P

I am pretty disappointed with viktor. I was gonna buy him and i'm realy glad i didnt. Riot got lazy with him after ahri, which has no real touch with it since ahri was being designed for so long and they didnt even bother with any balance changes so it's not that they had no time, it's because they were fucking lazy and didnt want to spoil their holidays. This is the problem with new champions. They are inevitably going to be compared to what exists... fair enough, but often they aren't meant to REPLACE a champ but add something NEW to the game.
Also, when champs AREN'T OP when they come out people complain and say they "aren't worth the IP"... but when they come out and ARE OP people complain too... WTF's with that??
Quick question, how do you get that sort of resolution to the game? I have it set at 1440x900 already, but I still have that little "border" at the bottom, and if I lower the HUD too much I can't see the score at the top right.
@blackhorse1988 You can remove that "border" at the bottom by going into interface when you press esc. or maybe its in more options im not quite sure :)
I think he is great...he can block of paths in jungle team fights and cdr is not a problem if you augment your w, you also need the range on the w too. everyone, i think, is just thinking he is bad because they they can't play him. and he is kind of hard to play. but when you think about it, ha has a aoe slow/stan, aoe great damage poke and a aoe dot silence...what is not good about it? the q is just there to give him sustain and some VERY nice damage!
@guststad The augment on the w is worthless. You either want to be mobile or have higher burst. The CC is not too important since your teammates can cover it. An AP caster has one thing that's built for him and that's bursting down people fast or having a good poke for teamfights. That is it. As faro mentioned, ryze and swain outdo him as a mid range ap caster for the simple reason that ryze can deal more burst and survive better and swain wont come close to dying due to his ult.
If you have a somewhat negative view on a champ, you should probably add some clips where you aren't owning your enemy and show clips where he obviously falls short against other champs and show scenarios where he isn't that good.
@ThemForsakenGamers My bad everyone, I was going to say strong! It cut off the last 5s of the video somehow :(. I do think he has potential to be great, but as he is right now he falls short of what I think his targeted goal is (counterpick to other mid-rangers).
I love playing Viktor, and I love the utility and versatility he has. But right now I can't validate playing him over the other dominant APs in a serious game. He is tons of fun though :)
So i have been playing Vic for a while now and first of i find him a fun cahr to playt there is no doubt but i also fid that there is a good deal of champions that are simply supperior to him and can dominate him easy and np, and i am talking with champs such as brand malz lb and stuff, but never the less i find vic a nice pick against sion and kassadin, and if played good can be a real destruction force.
Still i think the rang of his Q and or his shield isnt descent enough.
For fucks sake people, he's not bad, he's not even crippled. He's just extremely hard to learn and really hard to master. The point of him is the fact that you can build to counter people's builds on the fly. Early game he's amazing at harassment, mid game he's a pure powerhouse, and then late game he settles down to be a good control and support. Will of the Ancients and Rylias are a must on him, and it makes it extremely easy to trade blows with anyone and come out ahead.

This is the problem with new champions. They are inevitably going to be compared to what exists... fair enough, but often they aren't meant to REPLACE a champ but add something NEW to the game.
Also, when champs AREN'T OP when they come out people complain and say they "aren't worth the IP"... but when they come out and ARE OP people complain too... WTF's with that??

Quick question, how do you get that sort of resolution to the game? I have it set at 1440x900 already, but I still have that little "border" at the bottom, and if I lower the HUD too much I can't see the score at the top right.

@blackhorse1988 You can remove that "border" at the bottom by going into interface when you press esc. or maybe its in more options im not quite sure :)

I think he is great...he can block of paths in jungle team fights and cdr is not a problem if you augment your w, you also need the range on the w too. everyone, i think, is just thinking he is bad because they they can't play him. and he is kind of hard to play. but when you think about it, ha has a aoe slow/stan, aoe great damage poke and a aoe dot silence...what is not good about it? the q is just there to give him sustain and some VERY nice damage!

@guststad The augment on the w is worthless. You either want to be mobile or have higher burst. The CC is not too important since your teammates can cover it. An AP caster has one thing that's built for him and that's bursting down people fast or having a good poke for teamfights. That is it. As faro mentioned, ryze and swain outdo him as a mid range ap caster for the simple reason that ryze can deal more burst and survive better and swain wont come close to dying due to his ult.

If you have a somewhat negative view on a champ, you should probably add some clips where you aren't owning your enemy and show clips where he obviously falls short against other champs and show scenarios where he isn't that good.

@ThemForsakenGamers My bad everyone, I was going to say strong! It cut off the last 5s of the video somehow :(. I do think he has potential to be great, but as he is right now he falls short of what I think his targeted goal is (counterpick to other mid-rangers).
I love playing Viktor, and I love the utility and versatility he has. But right now I can't validate playing him over the other dominant APs in a serious game. He is tons of fun though :)

So i have been playing Vic for a while now and first of i find him a fun cahr to playt there is no doubt but i also fid that there is a good deal of champions that are simply supperior to him and can dominate him easy and np, and i am talking with champs such as brand malz lb and stuff, but never the less i find vic a nice pick against sion and kassadin, and if played good can be a real destruction force.
Still i think the rang of his Q and or his shield isnt descent enough.

For fucks sake people, he's not bad, he's not even crippled. He's just extremely hard to learn and really hard to master. The point of him is the fact that you can build to counter people's builds on the fly. Early game he's amazing at harassment, mid game he's a pure powerhouse, and then late game he settles down to be a good control and support. Will of the Ancients and Rylias are a must on him, and it makes it extremely easy to trade blows with anyone and come out ahead.
