I've heard a lot about Dead Moon, mostly applying that it was an excellent shooter for the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16. I see that it has some fast-paced action, and some well-designed environments. It also makes a good use of having sprites for multiple layers of scrolling. Though it does have those few nice factors going for it, it is not enough for me to want the game for myself. The music's not exciting enough in this regard.
It isn't too much for me, really. Although it has a certain coolness to its percussion, I find that it's missing some power to it (the light drums in the background are an example of this). It may be that this track has some weak-sounding instruments while other music pieces have stronger ones, but I have yet to hear the other tracks of the game to determine this.
The ship reminds me of the Gunstar from The Last Starfighter.

I thought Dead Moon was interesting. I played it at the 1991 CES In Chicago, so I have much love for the nostalgia of the gameplay.

:S The music is one of the main factors you want to buy the game!
