@MrUrosSrb Your argument is not valid. @AdyMiles U dont read ur scriptures well apparently he will say to them i never knew u,meaning they were never saved in their lifetime. Those against OSAS always try to make scripture mean what they want to say.
This is a lie: All of the promises of security of salvation are external. Therefore you can hand it back to the L-rd if you so choose.
"I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; and I will put the fear of Me in their hearts so that they will not turn away from Me." Jeremiah 32:40
Jeremiah prophesied that they will not turn away. If these people continue in sin, they were never saved to begin with. That promise is internal.
IN THE LORD IS MY SALVATION HE IS MY REFUGE. WHO IS LIKE THE LORD FOR THERE IS NO ONE!!!!! HAVE MERCY ON ME O LORD THE SINNER. YOU WOULD BE RIGHT TO DESTORE ME BUT YET SPARE ME. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ONE AND ONLY SON THAT DIE FOR A SINNER LIKE ME. I WISH TO DO THINGS THAT ARE GOOD BUT I STILL DO THINGS THAT ARE BAD. MY FLESH IS AT WAR WITH IT'S SELF. WHO CAN SAVED ME BUT THE LORD JESUS HE WASHES ALL MY SINS AWAY. NOTHING CAN EVER PUCK ME FROM YOUR HAND.
you can do nothing to get your salvation except to have faith in jesus christ. you either believe that jesus christ paid it all or you dont. If you really believe that jesus christ is setting at the right hand of God and is going to come back some day and or you are going to die and meet him; why would you quit beliving in jesus? i would say that you never really believed in the frist place.
all who call on the name of the lord jesus shall be saved.
its not all who call on the name of the lord jesus plus their own good works shall be saved. every person on this planet is "living in sin". we need jesus christ the savior. i belive that if a person is counting on jesus plus good works then they go to hell. jesus christ alone gets you into heaven....... look at moses, king david, they both killed people both are still saved. DONT BE A MODERN DAY Phasise.... look at me how good i am..
So seems how i have faith in Christ, and am osas that means i can then believe in allah and islam and kill myself so i can get to heaven and have 70 virgins waiting for me? How ridiculous! God help us!
@TheKJVberean well, look at biblical history of people sinning.Peter denied Jesus,Peter cut of a mans ear,Peter refused to eat with the Gentiles.David Killed a man,David Commited adultery.?Do u think all those blessed people are not saved then?Plz man get out of here.
If once saved always saved were true, then the gate wouldnt be straight nor would the way be narrow, it would be a wide gate and a broad way. Hitler said he was christian, does that mean he killed millions and himself then went to heaven? OSAS is a lie from hell, eliminates the fear of the Lord, we are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.
King David never lost his salvation, but what Christian in their right mind wants to try what he did?God chastised him terribly, his whole family were a bunch of degenerates, sin isn't without consequences for the believer.
Revelation 22:15For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
That means that if someone, even the one calling himself christian dies with sin (such as adulterer, thief, murder (suicide), idolater, fornificator, sorcerer, and so on...) without repenting, he will not inherited the Kingdom of Heaven.
You can not have it both ways, either u r a christian and work in holiness, or u r false christian and continue to sin
once saved, always saved is a hoax. This doctrine encourage more people to live in sin, and to not walk into holiness. Jesus told the adultery women, Jn 8:11 And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. That contradicted this doctrine.
What about "The road to hell is paved with good intentions." ? For instance, if I continue to celebrate Christmas (without weaning my THREE small children off of it FAST enough) or can't figure out if things like photographs are considered "graven images" or not ....will those things lead me to hell? Will I be considered a "lukewarm christian", who gets spit out, if I don't follow the 10 commandments CLOSE ENOUGH?!?!?
Unfortunately for Evolutionists, science has indeed now proven God is real and Evolution is demonstrably false. So much wasted intelligence on a fruitless project. For those who believed Creationism was true, well, you were right. 'The Attempted Murder Of God: Hidden Science You Really Need To Know' can be ordered from any library in the world. The debate is over.
5:11 But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;
1 Timothy 5:12(KJV) 5:12 Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.
Jude 1:5 (KJV)
1:5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not
Springing up does not mean regeneration. The heart is still stone, God said He would take out the heart of stone and put in a heart of flesh. This is talking about false conversions.
@ChristIsAllCol311 OK, I guess by that your expressing the common OSAS belief that if a man falls away he was never really saved to begin with right? If thats the case, I ask you this, at what point is a man saved? At what moment in time does he pass from law of sin to grace?
I believe that by calling one a false convert you make yourself equal to God in being able to judge the heart. (no offense intended.) I believe that once you come repenting and trusting Jesus you are saved.
No, falling away does not mean you lose salvation and it does not mean that they were "never truly saved".
If a man believes the gospel, he gets saved.
If he later falls in to sin, he will be chastised, punished, and if he continues in sin, he will be punished even to the point of death as 1 Cor 3 and 5 rightly declare.
He never loses salvation. Also, he will be punished at the Bema, after this earthly life.
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost...If they shall fall away, to renew them AGAIN unto repentance
"Renew them again" meaning they've already been given grace but fallen from it. Your argument is void and the scriptures you use are conditional.
sure he could still be going around murdering people...
once someone gets born again, it does not mean your life changes guranteed.
we just now have the POSSIBILITY for our life to be conformed to God's will...
if everyone who got born again was guaranteed a changed life for the positive by God essentially taking away their free will, I'm pretty scared to believe most of these people who call themselves Christians are being changed by the same God that is changing me.
now, is it possible for someone to not be changed a year after their born again?
ok, in short: I'd say yea, someone could be unchanged in the sense that they still do things after their own lusts and fulfill the lusts of the flesh the majority of the time.
but I'm not sure exactly what you are asking, sorry, so maybe if you could please expand/clarify on what you are asking.
but once we get born again and now have been born of the incorruptible seed(1 Peter 1:23), we now have the option/availability to please God/not live a life of sin.
we can now actually do things by faith.
we can now actually do works by faith.
the works we do do not please God, but the faith by which we do these works pleases God.
hey ya, well this is how I view it through my studies (maybe I'll make a short video just for you to see):
once someone gets BORN AGAIN, they gain the Holy Spirit in them. It now abides inside of them.
so before we were saved, we could live extremely moral lives just like unsaved people of the world today do like Ghandi or whoever, but all this moral life living while unsaved is all sin.(Rom 14:23).
Romans 6:1-2 is the verses that prove exactly my stance bro.
Look, right after Paul declares that salvation is by faith and is a free gift in Romans 5 and declares we can't do anything to add to it to get it or keep it, Paul answers the obvious objections people make by thinking this means we can live however we want as a license to sin.
Paul preached sanctification, and gave practical and spiritual reasons for living sanctified lives.
ar you sayin that u can be the same as u were before u were saved and after ur saved ur exactly the same, why are u denyin the holy spirits work in changing a believer for? all u seem to be doin is defending sin and the sin nature..
this just seems too much that the person who made this video and ppl who hold same beliefs are just sin defenders...defending sin and defendin and promoting and sin nature and denyin the work of the Holy Spirit covertin a christian.
but, I believe the Bible teaches that it is possible for a believer to sin(not walking by faith in the new man) to the point that God destroys his flesh and the believer goes straight to heaven...he is still saved..
I believe 1 Cor 3 and 1 Cor 5 are clear about the believer's ability/free will to still walk in sin if he wants, but that there will be consequences on this life and at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
On the cross, the bride of Christ was justified. What good is the cross if one day you're saved, the next day you're not? The Bible says NO ONE can pluck his from his hand. Phil 1:6 says he will be faithful to complete the work he began in all believers. Those that fell away....were never saved to begin with
1 John 2:19;They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.
When a "Christian" walks away from the faith and never returns, they were never saved to begin with. They can fall into sin, sure; I know many Christians who have done that. But by God's grace, they have victory over it later to prove they are regenerate. :)
"When a "Christian" walks away from the faith and never returns, they were never saved to begin with."
I disagree with this statement.
If a Christian falls in to sin, God will chasten him..
If he continues to sin..and continues to not live for God(never goes soulwinning, doesn't read God's word, is fallen in to false doctrine) this guy is still saved...but God will destroy him if he lives in sin.
I encourage you to continue to read your scriptures like you have been. I know personally, it scares me to death to think that my salvation depends on me. Thank you, bye.
You are Referring to John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish,
neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. ?? Well that is true but it comes with these 2 conditions in the verse before 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: You still have free will to turn back... Simple475 had hit it right on the head in his first reply..
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
WHAT SO EVER A MAN LOOSE OR BINDS. SALVATION IS IN THAT WHAT SO EVER. SHOW ME WERE ITS NOT AND I LL ADMIT I AM OUT OF ODER. 1 Thes. 5:8
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. WHAT IF YOU DON'T HAVE THAT HELMET. WERE IS YOUR HOPE THAN.
I LIKE. ROMANS, 1- 21-32, 1- COR. 5: 6-13, 6: 9-13 gal. 5: 15-20 gAL 5:-19-26. REV. 21-8. i LIKE THESE SCRIPTURES BECAUSE GOD IS TALKING TO THE SAVED NOT THE LOST. THESE ARE THE FRUITS OF THOSE WORKER OF THE FLESH AND INIQUITY. GOD SAYS IN ALL OF THOSE HE WILL THROW YOU INTO HELL. EXPLAIN WHAT GOD REALLY WAS TRYING TO SAY IN THOSE SCRIPTURES. I AM A LEGALISTIC CHRISTIAN. IF GOD SAID IT. ITS GOLD TO ME
John 15:26.But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men. the only thing given to use for free. Is the truth of the Gospels. to be teached in truth and purity. i agree works do not save a person. however Faith brings forth works. The Holy Spirit desires to work threw use to GIVE GOD GLORY.
19What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. salvation according to paul inspired by god. Came at a price. and no I am not cathlic. their wicked.
Matthew 7- 21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity
inquity means sin, or lawlessness. thoose people thought they were saved to.
Satan Can not be saved for a few reason, one is easy hes a angels not a child of God. However Jesus Blood cleansed every thing. in heaven and earth. Their something Satan can not do that we are commanded to do. 1 John 2:27
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
hearing brings FAITH. faith brings belief. Belief brings for fruits by a super natural event. you skip john 3.the talk between Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews and Jesus. he told Nicodemus that, and told use that our 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. you went straight to John 5.
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Jesus Christ died to take away sin, and cleans everything infected by SATAN. Now if a person is saved just by the idea of eternal salvation, then satan is saved also. because not only does he belief in God, he treambles at his Glory. No a person is saved by grace, not by works, how ever works a company faith. Just like believing on JESUS Christ as the scriptures command.
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; How can you "Fall Away" if you were never there? Don't be deceived!!
simple475, are you saying that you have free will only when your saved and not when you are born again? you are saying that you can walk away from God when you are saved but not when you are born again? You are saying being "saved" and "born again" are not the same?
you have a free will before you are saved as well.
after you are LITERALLY born again(saved), this time in the spirit, you have the choice to walk in holiness or to walk in darkness. you can walk away from God if you want, but God will chasten you.
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Believeth is a commandment. The eth on the end of believe, is a continual process. Jesus said in Matt 10:33 if you confess me before men, I will confess you before my Father, but if you deny me before men, I will deny you before my father.
Peter repented. Would you say Judas Iscariot was never saved? Judas was one of the twelve disciples. Jesus would not have an unsaved as a disciple. Judas did not repent so there was no hope for him. All Judas had to do was ask Jesus to forgive him but instead he went about it in a religious way, he tried to give back the silver.
Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
My brother, to be carnally minded is death. Paul is referring to what Jesus said, here in Romans. You can choose to walk after the flesh. We are passed from death (law of sin) unto life (law of the Spirit of life), if we walk after the Spirit!
Actually, "faith without works is dead" is mistranslated in James. That statement is not true, our works do absolutely nothing for our faith. Works without FAITH is dead. Satan reversed it.
Your faith is not dependant on temporal actions, your temporal actions are dependant on YOUR FAITH! For, without CHRIST they are nothing, our works have to be wrought in God, and the only way that is possible, is through faith.
In John 5:24 "believeth" is in the present as well as continious tense. In other words, he who continues to believe hath present tense eternal life. This is brought out more clearly in the wording of that verse as found in Young's Literal Translation which reads,
'Verily, verily, I say to you -- He who is hearing my word, and is believing Him who sent me, hath life age-during, and to judgment he doth not come, but hath passed out of the death to the life.
But if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked man does, will he live? None of the righteous things he has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness he is guilty of and because of the sins he has committed, he will die. (Ezek 18:24)
I can't really understand Christians who believe in losing your salvation...what if you sin on your death bed, the Bible says that even the thought of foolishness is sin "Proverbs 24:9"...so if you think an impure thought or foolish thought before you die, you've sinned and now you're going to Hell.
I believe in living a holy and pure life but losing your salvation just doesn't add up.
"For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end" (Hebrews 3:14). That conditional word "if" is so inconvenient, so perhaps it should be taken out, eh!
Persistence of believing to the end: this is the understanding you lack. "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life." (Romans 6:22). If a person turns away from God and "believeth not", then John 3:36 applies to him as well.
if at any 1 moment in time someone attains this thing called 'everlasting life' and then 'loses' it, it is not 'everlasting life' but merely 'temporary life'
simple474 says of Hebrews 6:4-6 "These Scriptures are speaking about unbelievers". He is imposing his own views.
John 15:5,6 says: "[5] I am the vine, ye are the branches: ... [6] If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." Perhaps we should take out the words "he is cast forth as a branch". After all, we can't have someone who was actually a branch IN THE VINE being cast forth, can we!
Hebrews 6:4-6 says "impossible ... If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance". Perhaps we should take out the word "impossible". After all, if it's "impossible" for certain people to repent after falling away, then they can never be in the presence of God thereafter.
These Scriptures are speaking about unbelievers, who have heard the Gospel, have experienced the convicting power of the Holy Spirit, and have had the opportunity to get saved; but have deliberately rejected Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
1. ETERNAL LIFE IS ETERNAL! John 3:15; 10:28; Romans 6:23; 1 John 2:25; 5:11; 5:13; etc.; By definition eternal means never ending. Once a believer has eternal life it can never be taken away. If it could be it would not be eternal!
2. EVERLASTING LIFE IS EVERLASTING! Daniel 12:2; John 3:16; 3:36; 5:24; 6:40; 6:47; Romans 6:22; etc.; Likewise, everlasting life can never end. It is everlasting!
"[4] For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, [5] And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, [6] If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame." (Hebrews 6:4-6). Perhaps we should take away the words "If they shall fall away" ...
Thanks for the video! Simple475 you are right on target. The video made me laugh because when I explain I am a OSAS believer - the first thing that those who disagree with me say is that I must be living in sin or love sin.
Ephesians 2:8-10 8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Galatians 2:19-20 19For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. 20I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me..
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
if your sinning your not believing on God the Father nor are you listening or hearing the words of Jesus because if you were you are you would not be sinning what this verse is saying is a person has eternal life as long as the person is hearing the words of Jesus and believing on God the Father and if they are sinning then they are not doing either one and if they don't repent they wont be able to hear the words of Jesus or believe on God the Father
because Sin has blinded them but if they repent God will remove that sin so that they are able to hear and believe clearly "its not like as soon as you sin you lose eternal life" Gods not up there with a stick waiting for you too fail He will put chances and opportunity's in your life to repent its when He's given you those chances that He waits to see what choice you are going to make God will keep on dealing with someone but only for so long
no God will never leave us nor forsake us but we have the free will to walk away and no longer believe on the Father nor hear the words of Jesus and that right there is when we begin to let go of the eternal life that was given to us its very scary but its real
i would also like to add that "it is not that we need to be doing Good works to be saved" it is that we need to allow God to manifest His works in us to stay saved because if we don't our salvation will wither away Gods gift is free but if we don't do anything with His free gift and if we just leave it to sit the gift will wither away and fade and then we will no longer want it because we have walked so far away from it that we have now left it to fade in our lives
we are not saved for nothing we are saved so that God can manifest good works in us if we are not showing the good works and then we are not taking the free salvation if Gods gives us a free gift and then we set it down and pick up our old toys from the devil and start playing with the devils toys instead then we no longer see the free gift God has given us because we are blinded and because we are too busy playing with the toys of the devil
we are saved by grace and grace alone unto good works so that we can do good works we are saved and saved by grace alone so that God is able to manifest good works in us because we believe on the father and are hearing the words of Jesus
It is everlasting regardless of the believers behavior.
if you ever have eternal life or everlasting life at one point in time and then you don't have it at another point in time, it is not eternal life and it is not everlasting life.
ok i see what your saying ok so let me rephrase what i said earlier just because we walk away from or leave eternal life does not mean that it stops being eternal eternal life is eternal no matter what we can never change how eternal life is eternal or that eternal life is eternal but we can change the choice of whether we want it or not if i have a box that last forever but i walk away and leave the box the box will never change even if i leave it but i will
because i wont have the box that makes me eternal i am eternal as long as i keep the box as long as i keep the free gift as long as i don't return it or throw it away how do i keep the box that is eternal? well i hold on it and i don't let it and i don't pick up the box of the devil because if i pick up the box of the devil then i have to put down the box of eternal life
what is in the box of eternal life? Jesus life His righteousness and everything of God so what is in the box of the devil t6he devil death sin and everything against God
I couldn't stop laughing once 'Roger' (Tennis Man) started dancing and saying he would burn in Hell. That is exactly what vibe I get from these types. It's pitiful.

Hebrews 6:4-6 (KJV)
4For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Mar 4:5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:
Mar 4:6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
pretty clear to me you can fall from grace.
xRaisethestandardx 2 years ago
Springing up does not mean regeneration. The heart is still stone, God said He would take out the heart of stone and put in a heart of flesh. This is talking about false conversions.
ChristIsAllCol311 2 years ago
@ChristIsAllCol311 OK, I guess by that your expressing the common OSAS belief that if a man falls away he was never really saved to begin with right? If thats the case, I ask you this, at what point is a man saved? At what moment in time does he pass from law of sin to grace?
I believe that by calling one a false convert you make yourself equal to God in being able to judge the heart. (no offense intended.) I believe that once you come repenting and trusting Jesus you are saved.
xRaisethestandardx 2 years ago
@xRaisethestandardx

#1 where do I say admit you're a sinner?
#2 yes, OF COURSE, being sealed with the Holy Spirit is a requirement to enter Heaven.
I do not deny that.
#3 The difference, however, is that you deny perseverance is a requirement for heaven, even though you clearly believe it is.
I'm not sure how much more I can break this down..
you believe:
B + P = H
B + NOP = Hell
regardless if you think God is "persevering for you" or whatever else, you still believe perseverance is required to enter Heaven.
simple475 2 years ago
sure he could still be going around murdering people...
once someone gets born again, it does not mean your life changes guranteed.
we just now have the POSSIBILITY for our life to be conformed to God's will...
if everyone who got born again was guaranteed a changed life for the positive by God essentially taking away their free will, I'm pretty scared to believe most of these people who call themselves Christians are being changed by the same God that is changing me.
simple475 2 years ago
Belief = B
Perseverance = P
Heaven = H
NOP = Lack of perseverance(the person didn't persevere)
Hell = Hell
according to what you believe(or used to believe?)
B + P = H
B + NOP = Hell
simple475 2 years ago
@simple475 Is it possible for a person to have false belief that does not save and these are the people that do not persevere and end up in hell?
ChristIsAllCol311 2 years ago
I know you said it is a result of born again.
Lets look at this again:
What is required to enter Heaven?
according to what you believe(or used to believe?) One must believe Jesus Christ paid for His sins and persevere.
If someone does not persevere, he is not going to heaven.
I don't think I can break it down much more simpler than that..let me try an equation though:
simple475 2 years ago
the differences in our beliefs probably stems from differences in our understanding of this:
positional sanctification, experiential sanctification, and ultimate sanctification.
but I've got a short question for you now:
what about calvinists and lose salvation folks and lordship salvation people?
are they simply being changed by God in a different/mysterious way?
or are they fulfilling their own lusts and going off in to wicked theology on their own?
where do we draw the line?
simple475 2 years ago
now, is it possible for someone to not be changed a year after their born again?
ok, in short: I'd say yea, someone could be unchanged in the sense that they still do things after their own lusts and fulfill the lusts of the flesh the majority of the time.
but I'm not sure exactly what you are asking, sorry, so maybe if you could please expand/clarify on what you are asking.
simple475 2 years ago
what is required to go to heaven from your stance and the P of Tulip's stance is:
believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and whatever your definition of "perseverance" is.
not a single person can enter heaven without having persevered, true or not true?
true, according to you.
im not trying to point anything new out, this is just a simple logical truth of this belief.
perseverance is required to enter heaven for this belief...simple logical foundational truth.
simple475 2 years ago
and about Romans 6:18, yes, look at what Paul is saying in the entire chapter.
Paul is thanking God in Romans 6:17 for the obedience of the Christians he is writing to.
He is also encouraging them to continue living sanctified lives.
He again encourages them to live holy lives in Romans 12:1-2.
simple475 2 years ago
but once we get born again and now have been born of the incorruptible seed(1 Peter 1:23), we now have the option/availability to please God/not live a life of sin.
we can now actually do things by faith.
we can now actually do works by faith.
the works we do do not please God, but the faith by which we do these works pleases God.
simple475 2 years ago
hey ya, well this is how I view it through my studies (maybe I'll make a short video just for you to see):
once someone gets BORN AGAIN, they gain the Holy Spirit in them. It now abides inside of them.
so before we were saved, we could live extremely moral lives just like unsaved people of the world today do like Ghandi or whoever, but all this moral life living while unsaved is all sin.(Rom 14:23).
it does nothing at all for us.
simple475 2 years ago
Romans 6:1-2 is the verses that prove exactly my stance bro.
Look, right after Paul declares that salvation is by faith and is a free gift in Romans 5 and declares we can't do anything to add to it to get it or keep it, Paul answers the obvious objections people make by thinking this means we can live however we want as a license to sin.
Paul preached sanctification, and gave practical and spiritual reasons for living sanctified lives.
simple475 2 years ago
1 Cor 6:9-11.
ok, what is your objection with it? just curious.
1. Do you think God arbitrarily declares that people committing these sins are the trademarks of people who will not go to Heaven?
2. Why did God leave out lying and pride in this list, and other sins that God says He hates in Pro 6:16-17?
3. I believe this verse is talking about us needing Christ's Righteousness to enter Heaven. ours doesn't do anything.
simple475 2 years ago
you say you believe in preservation not perseverance, but let me ask you...
what is required to go to heaven?
I would say: believe Jesus Christ paid for your sins.
you would logically have to say: believe Jesus Christ paid for your sins and persevere(God will make you persevere if you are "truly" saved)
see what I'm saying?
I see what you believe is no different than what the Calvinist's P of Tulip is.
simple475 2 years ago

@BelieveandtrustJesus
sure, 1 John 3:9
1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
this is just talking about the inner man vs. the unglorified/corrupted flesh.
our inner man is born of incorruptible seed(1 Peter 1:23).
if we abide in it, we never sin.
this is the(short explanation) of non-Lordship Salvation/non Calvinism P of Tulip interpretation of this passage...its simple..
btw,is this ServantofGod3?
simple475 2 years ago
@BelieveandtrustJesus
yes, you do believe all those who are saved will persevere until the end.
therefore, you believe, in order to enter heaven, one must persevere.
you believe exactly like calvinists do with their P of Tulip.
you believe exactly how they believe..that God somehow magically keeps them from not falling in to sin for a long time.
1 Cor 3 and 5 clearly states that a believer can fall in to sin and eventually be destroyed by God for their wickedness.
simple475 2 years ago
@BelieveandtrustJesus
i don't believe it is illogical at all to believe that a believer can fall in to sin.
sounds like you hold to calvinism's P of Tulip and denial of free will, in that you believe all those who are saved will persevere until the end.
i don't need to persevere to enter Heaven, all I must do is believe, no strings attached..
simple475 2 years ago
but, I believe the Bible teaches that it is possible for a believer to sin(not walking by faith in the new man) to the point that God destroys his flesh and the believer goes straight to heaven...he is still saved..
I believe 1 Cor 3 and 1 Cor 5 are clear about the believer's ability/free will to still walk in sin if he wants, but that there will be consequences on this life and at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
I agree our will is changed, yes.
but we still have our old flesh.
simple475 2 years ago
@BelieveandtrustJesus
hey there, thanks for your comment.
I believe the BIble teaches that we still have our old man.
but we now have the new man(spirit of Christ abiding in us).
we can choose, of our own free will, to walk in the old man or walk in the new man.
it is only possible once we have been born again to be able to bring forth fruits..

On the cross, the bride of Christ was justified. What good is the cross if one day you're saved, the next day you're not? The Bible says NO ONE can pluck his from his hand. Phil 1:6 says he will be faithful to complete the work he began in all believers. Those that fell away....were never saved to begin with
abowman27614 2 years ago
Hey abowman!
thanks for your comment!
yes, once saved always saved is absolutely true!
1 thing though, I beileve it is possible for saved people to, of their free will, walk away from the faith but still be saved.
God will chasten them,
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
but it is possible for saved believers to go off and live a life of sin or to depart from the faith.
However, they will suffer many consequences on this life and at the Bema.
simple475 2 years ago
Thank you also for your comment, simple.
abowman27614 2 years ago
"When a "Christian" walks away from the faith and never returns, they were never saved to begin with."
I disagree with this statement.
If a Christian falls in to sin, God will chasten him..
If he continues to sin..and continues to not live for God(never goes soulwinning, doesn't read God's word, is fallen in to false doctrine) this guy is still saved...but God will destroy him if he lives in sin.
1 Cor 3:16-17

God CAN and WILL destroy that believer.

Matt6N33 2 years ago
yes Matt6N33,
we still have free will to turn away from God.
but, the moment we get born again LITERALLY, this time in the spirit, we are saved forever.
it is a 1 time event, just like the natural birth.
I can walk away from my natural parents, but they are still my parents.

A few questions for you:
1. Since when is the gospel "believe there is one God"
-The gospel is: 1 Cor 15:1-4 Believe Jesus Christ paid for your sins.
-Jesus Christ didn't come to pay for the sins of angels, Jesus Christ came to pay for the sins of humanity who was made in God's image
2. are you a catholic?
-from your statements, it appears as if you reject the substitutionary atonement and instead hold to a catholic view of the atonement.

I'm just still trying to find out how non-OSASers refute this text..
God Bless~!

Eternal life is only promised to those who persist in believing to the end.
KJBman777 2 years ago
LOL.
ok, so now you are changing your position to the only time you can ever know you have eternal life is the day you die.
how convenient for you.
Jesus Christ says in John 5:24 that I HATH, HATH HATH, PRESENT, HATH everlasting life.
if someone ever at 1 point in time has everlasting life, then loses 'everlasting' life, it is not everlasting. everlasting lasts forever.
1John 5:13 says we can know we have eternal life now, not when we die, but NOW.
simple475 2 years ago
I didn't twist anything.
the Truth is, the moment you believe the gospel 1Cor 15:1-4, the Godhead moves inside of you and grants you everlasting life.
I have everlasting life right this second.
everlasting life MEANS EVERLASTING.
everlasting life
LASTS FOREVER
IF I COULD 'LOSE' EVERLASTING LIFE, ITS NOT EVERLASTING
simple475 2 years ago
"For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end" (Hebrews 3:14). That conditional word "if" is so inconvenient, so perhaps it should be taken out, eh!
KJBman777 2 years ago
another bunch of nonsense, once again.
simple475 2 years ago
Persistence of believing to the end: this is the understanding you lack. "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life." (Romans 6:22). If a person turns away from God and "believeth not", then John 3:36 applies to him as well.
KJBman777 2 years ago
you still don't understand.
if at any 1 moment in time someone attains this thing called 'everlasting life' and then 'loses' it, it is not 'everlasting life' but merely 'temporary life'
EVERLASTING MEANS IT LASTS FOREVER!
ding ding ding!

simple474 says of Hebrews 6:4-6 "These Scriptures are speaking about unbelievers".
KJBman777 2 years ago
I am not 'imposing my own views'.
I am comparing scripture with scripture.
why don't you respond to the 2 points I made before you start posting more nonsense.
eternal life is eternal and everlasting life is everlasting.
simple475 2 years ago
Hebrews 6:4-6 says "impossible ... If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance". Perhaps we should take out the word "impossible". After all, if it's "impossible" for certain people to repent after falling away, then they can never be in the presence of God thereafter.
KJBman777 2 years ago
no.
wrong.
terrible exegesis/hermeneutics.
keep the word impossible in there.
that's not talking about people losing salvation.
its talking about people who were never saved

KJBman777 2 years ago
no. keep those words in there.
what YOU want it to be, however, is change the words
"If they shall fall away" to, "if they shall get un-born again and lose their salvation".

Thanks for the video! Simple475 you are right on target. The video made me laugh because when I explain I am a OSAS believer - the first thing that those who disagree with me say is that I must be living in sin or love sin.
LOL

LOL.
yes, I figured you guys would have had the same experiences.
that irrational accusation is bound to come up 9 times out of 10

LOL...
Have you ever read John 5:24?
No.
*silence*
Classic. :D
And seriously.. EVERYONE I talk to accuses me of living a sinful lifestyle jsut because I believe OSAS. Even though they have no idea how I live. =/
Kloudes 2 years ago 3
LOL hey Kloudes.
glad you enjoyed.
yes, they are like the calvinists.
whenever a calvinist sees 'all' they pretend it doesn't say all.
same with non-osasers. whenever they see everlasting they think it means temporary.
and yea, every single time I talk with a non-osas person they say 'you must be living in sin!' lol.
God bless~!

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

if your sinning your not believing on God the Father nor are you listening or hearing the words of Jesus because if you were you are you would not be sinning what this verse is saying is a person has eternal life as long as the person is hearing the words of Jesus and believing on God the Father and if they are sinning then they are not doing either one and if they don't repent they wont be able to hear the words of Jesus or believe on God the Father
kiekie84 2 years ago
because Sin has blinded them but if they repent God will remove that sin so that they are able to hear and believe clearly "its not like as soon as you sin you lose eternal life" Gods not up there with a stick waiting for you too fail He will put chances and opportunity's in your life to repent its when He's given you those chances that He waits to see what choice you are going to make God will keep on dealing with someone but only for so long
kiekie84 2 years ago
no God will never leave us nor forsake us but we have the free will to walk away and no longer believe on the Father nor hear the words of Jesus and that right there is when we begin to let go of the eternal life that was given to us its very scary but its real
kiekie84 2 years ago
i would also like to add that "it is not that we need to be doing Good works to be saved" it is that we need to allow God to manifest His works in us to stay saved because if we don't our salvation will wither away Gods gift is free but if we don't do anything with His free gift and if we just leave it to sit the gift will wither away and fade and then we will no longer want it because we have walked so far away from it that we have now left it to fade in our lives
kiekie84 2 years ago
we are not saved for nothing we are saved so that God can manifest good works in us if we are not showing the good works and then we are not taking the free salvation if Gods gives us a free gift and then we set it down and pick up our old toys from the devil and start playing with the devils toys instead then we no longer see the free gift God has given us because we are blinded and because we are too busy playing with the toys of the devil
kiekie84 2 years ago
we are saved by grace and grace alone unto good works so that we can do good works we are saved and saved by grace alone so that God is able to manifest good works in us because we believe on the father and are hearing the words of Jesus

simple475 2 years ago
if you ever have eternal life or everlasting life at one point in time and then you don't have it at another point in time, it is not eternal life and it is not everlasting life.
simple475 2 years ago
ok i see what your saying ok so let me rephrase what i said earlier just because we walk away from or leave eternal life does not mean that it stops being eternal eternal life is eternal no matter what we can never change how eternal life is eternal or that eternal life is eternal but we can change the choice of whether we want it or not if i have a box that last forever but i walk away and leave the box the box will never change even if i leave it but i will
kiekie84 2 years ago
because i wont have the box that makes me eternal i am eternal as long as i keep the box as long as i keep the free gift as long as i don't return it or throw it away how do i keep the box that is eternal? well i hold on it and i don't let it and i don't pick up the box of the devil because if i pick up the box of the devil then i have to put down the box of eternal life
kiekie84 2 years ago
what is in the box of eternal life? Jesus life His righteousness and everything of God so what is in the box of the devil t6he devil death sin and everything against God
kiekie84 2 years ago

using faulty logic and reasoning.
