argggh just remebered that there are more items on the PC version of this game, thats where the lighting's from. so stop asking. @m1c4a3l yer the console versions dont have as interesting items on the map editor :( BTW i <3 the second song !!!

Everyone keeps asking me about these lights... Seriously.. I just added them, the same way as you add the cars or other details!... I don't know how limited you are on consoles.. but it must be really bad, coz on PC.. it's really easy to add lighting?! And to get the lights to turn on, I just dimmed the lighting outside down..more of a 'evening' sort of light.. which makes the lights come on.

dig a hole and then put in a gas pump and then put a pallet morphed with the pump over the hole

I HAVENT USED FC2 MAP EDITOR SINCE MAKING THESE MAPS!! STOP ASKING ME ABOUT THE DAMN LIGHTS LOL!!! (i think you just have to set the daylight down SLIGHTLY, and the lights come on?)

also put a note in that the lights can only be used on the pc they work at anytime in th game as long as there in a dark spot

Sorry, I havent been on FarCry 2 for a while now, I am using the Hammer editor to make Counter Strike Source maps, but I THINK i actually released this through far cry 2? If you go into the map community bit, and search for Caveman, or M1C4A3L , it should find it. If not, then it will never be seen, as I formatted my pc without backing all my maps up :(

The only problem I have with this map is that there are tree's growing in a cave. Given it looks nice but trees cannot grow in a cave because there is no sunlight. Other than that its a great map.

Hehe. Caves do look really nice on here.. its just trying to make it look realistic.. the ground, surroundings etc (thanks to my friend dean who taught me that). First things first, of course you gota have some sort of imagination. You have to kind of plan ahead...have an idea of what you want, and use the various objects to make it! Like if you want a skyscraper, use the same building, but place one on top of the other. Its really easy, and looks really good when its done. You gota have patience too, because sometimes what you want something to look like, doesnt. Just as I say, get an idea, plan it out, and then go for it. Take you time too!!
