  • its interesting to see a tall person like him with such good form, its very difficult to sink low enough to break a short opponent/partner's center. I'm 5'11 and most of the people i train with are much shorter than me, so im not very good at push hands XD

  • @tykaraboso keep working at it and your body will adjust. Also with push hands you will increase awareness of self and opponent that can extend beyond the direct touch you start with. This isn't magic but a subconscious awareness of body movement that comes from practice.

  • Very nice!

  • Very nice!

  • good on ya man

  • this is very close to what im doing.... but i dont think people will understand unless they are doing it. Took me weeks to get the connection.

  • Based in Japan but travel home once a year for training, teaching and family visit :)

  • Dude i have to thank you. its really helped with gaming believe it or not lol. i feel more relaxed, and more ready to kick some serious arse.

    Thanks :D

  • hahaha, are you serious!?

Gamming as in computer gamming? Video Games? (sorry if I sound stupid, I never even real had a go at a play station..) Wicked! I never heard of that but sweet! :)

  • I dont know if he is serious or not but I can see where maintaining a loose relaxed state would help with something like a game control where tension would only hurt your speed and response. I can add that Tai Chi has helped me in many areas. I play drums and I am much more aware of tension in my body that can throw me off. And of course focus. Amazing martial art. The fighting aspects of it (of which few are aware) are a minor piece of the total benefits.

  • r u moving your hands independently?

  • I dont understand your question.. sorry

  • watching this video, it seems that you are moving you hands/arms independently,(without the rest of the body.) Something that I have not seen in you other videos.

  • no no, everything moves.. Always consistent.. This vid is a only a small part of a module in the course. It explains the lag between the movement to create a bigger gap to draw your opponent into as you take in their tension..

  • that is what I thought. It wasn't clear in this video.

Your taiji is good. I am quite impressed for your age. Complements to you and your teacher(s). It is hard to find people that do taiji for real, and do it so it works.

  • Thank you kindly :)

Im aware its not real clear.. but for those who follow similar taiji it makes sense.. Its very hard to explain without showing the whole thing.. in reality there is not enough space on youtube ;) In anycase I just train basics to maintain good basics, even that is deep enough. If reached a level of compitency but the biggest thing taiji has showed me is theres always room for improvement ;) this only has meaning to real practitioners :) Kind Regards

  • The very same :) PC Gaming, and xbox 360. i can glady give you 100% of the credit, its made me more relaxed and more calm and next thing you know im topping the killboards so THANKS!! :D

  • tottaly cool

  • I like your demonstratoins.. IF your ever in Cairo, Egypt look me up, and we can do some push hands and exchange information.

    Peace

  • Thank you

  • This is a good explaination.. I was looking at fa jing by another dude and I saw the push hands, real strong, good stuff. I get it now since u explained it.. before it was like.. how does he launch these guys so far?!! Now its a little more clear. Keep it up man, intense stuff here!
