  • What do you do for work?

  • vid was decent but it looked like ur weld got a bit big on the back side, code calls for 1/8" max burn through 1/16" is desired.

  • Hey guys, those welds look excellent! (When I could walk) I would weld plates like that on my boat (using 6011 obvioulsy) and always had trouble keeping the steel from cupping if I rand long beads like that. Yours look very straight to me. If I didn't run short beads and let it cool a bit, I had trouble. Can you tell me why?

  • pls make a video on overhead root pass ,, filling and capping

  • you plan on getting a teaching job?

  • @alldrunkedup

Only online :) Do you all think I can teach things well? Ive got a whole bunch more videos to make...

  • @ChuckE2009 alot better than the film that comes with a new welder.

  • ok GBM you can click my channel name btw nice video chuck

  • Nice welding.

  • Awesome boys! Thanks again!!!!

  • No hot pass? Im doing this in school now, they tell us to run a 6010 root grind it. Then 7018 fill, then the cap! Guesse there sint a standerd way of doing this.

  • @gravediggmn

Wait, what? We ran a 6010 root, filled it with 7018 and then capped it with more 7018...

  • @ChuckE2009 The school i go to they tell us to run a hot pass after our root pass, then fill and cap. Basicly crank the heat on up with some 7018 and run one bead over the root pass.

  • Good work guys!

  • @loansharky

  • Good Go!
