  • Hey Bob- Been listening to some of your older material. I know you're probably a busy guy but I was wondering if it would be at all possible if you could download a few more of your songs from the "Matters of the Heart LP"? I have always admired you, and your songwriting abilities. Thank you so much for the wonderful heartfelt songs, (sometimes they make me cry), and all the memories that come from listening to your music. God Bless!

  • OMgosh!! Was looking for something else on youtube and here you are Bob Bennett!!! My husband asked you a stupid question about this song 1,000 years ago at LeTurneaux University in Longview, TX. You were irritated with his question and answered it abruptly... We were telling our teens the story just yesterday and laughing our butts off remembering that night.......wow can't wait to sing a duet with you in eternity!!!! love ya, lisa (we have long forgiven you)

  • @CarlyDanielleMcClain -- Oh my, I hope wasn't a complete buffoon ... but sometimes it happens and I still worry about that stuff from time-to-time. E-mail me at BOB at BOB dash (hyphen) BENNETT dot COM and give me more details (this is not the forum for that). And please accept a pre-emptive apology for any lapse on my part. We're all human and sometimes not at our best ... but still, I'm supposed to keep irritation at a minimum whenever possible!

  • Beautiful music!

  • How Wonderful!! The "Matters of The Heart" album is a Gift from God!! Thank you so much!!

    Jim

  • Great stuff Bob- My favorite is Matters of the Heart (its also like 2 songs in one )

Thanks for being a great friend with your music -I'm teaching my children about Singers like yourself (substance versus shallow-worldly trickery, lightsand flash!)The other day I played your matters of the heart on you tube through the remote wireless speaker system for my children- they said "it sounds like a band or at least a couple of men on guitar . I said its just one man with God's spirit living in him.

  • Bob, I've always loved your music. I love the fact that I can come hear to see,and hear it again. I'm going to purchase your music on itunes. my cassette tapes have worn out hehe. GBU

  • You had more hair back then, Bob!

Love your music, long time fan!

  • Yay! I can listen to Bob Bennett on youtube! You once counseled me and my roommate (Sue aka Shoshone) when we got in some sort of argument/fight back when we were 20-something I think. Have always loved your music!

  • One of my all time faves!!!!!

  • move over, Michael McDonald

  • I'd love to see a music-video of "Unto The Least of These". I sure miss that song, especially this time of year...

  • Michael Mcdonald, theres another one.

  • Wow, Grizzly Adams can sing too

  • Yeah I know. I used to get that a lot. That. And "Burl Ives". And "John Goodman"

  • Lol, sorry, im a bastard. I didnt expect THE Bob Bennet to reply!

    That explains all the comments.

I reckon you should do a cover version of the littlest hobo theme tune. That would be just EXCELLENT.

I like this soft, gentle, innocent kinda music.

    Like 10cc, chicago, Christopher Cross.

    Great stuff!!!!

  • I can't remember the title of the song, but, there was a bluegrass sounding song that I thought was so fun to listen to. Something dealing with the day that I die.

  • Half an Hour Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (I think).

  • The song is "The Place I Am Bound". You can find a solo acoustic version on iTunes of Amazon. The original more-produced version appears on SONGS FROM BRIGHT AVENUE (1991). URLs apparently aren't allowed. Just used my name and dotcom it.

  • Sweet ..... and thanks for adding me on facebook (I think myspace too).

  • Where is Bob Bennett, now? I haven't heard anything new, nor seen anything of him, over the past couple of years.

  • He's still aroun --- uh, I mean, I'm still around ... writing, playing concerts and recording. It's true that my last solo CD was in 2002 (a lifetime ago in our fast-paced, what's-new lives). In 2007 I collaborated with fingerstyle guitarist John Standefer on Six String Prayers. I hope to begin recording a Christmas album in April with producer Roy Salmond presiding. Thanks so much for asking and listening. Bob.

  • Hi Bob. It's amazing to look back on l983. The one and only time I saw you live was on the "stage" of Calvary Chapel of West Covina, so many years ago. Strange to think I also sang on that same stage, although not as well as you did. I suppose how well we did does not matter, the heart of the mattter was we were singing as unto the Lord. God bless you.

  • Thnks again Bob. Met you years ago and had a nice talk with you in the childrens cry room. This was at Calvary Chapel in Redlands. We talked about your guitar style being better that J T's. I'll never forget what you said, " pray for him Steve." Pray for me to Bob as I will for you. Thanks again for your wonderful, inspired music.

  • Bob's music is 'comfort food' to my ears!

  • Bob,

You're still our all time favorite musician. We have most of your albums and saw you live in Houston in the 80s in that church near Hobby Airport more than once!

  • I am fortunate to have seen you with Michael Card years ago. You can tell someone's love for music by which is first to be uploaded on an MP3 players. I have 3 of your CD's and yes, yours was among the first I put on mine. Unfortunately, I typically only listen while I am on dialysis. Thanks for your gift. Thanks for the encouragement. You are truly a class act.

  • Hey Bob. Whoa... 1983... my kids were doing the math. Yeah. I don't do the math anymore.

  • Thank you for this great song!

  • Bob...you are SO smooth...very, very nice...since Mel Torme was the 'velvet fog' maybe you could be the 'tweed fog' or 'bearded fog' ?

Your biggest fan in Oregon (with as many X's in his shirt size...)

  • Somehow I believe even Christian musicians can be in the will of God too.

Please put up "Lord of the Past"

    Thanks

  • I don't think I have "Lord of the Past" in my video archives. Most of my stuff is early-to-mid '80's when I did a run of TV appearances. Maybe someone else will wander by here that has something I don't know about. Thanks for dropping by, Bob.

  • That's my son I remember. Awesome song, I never heard it? Or did I? But, BOB you are da bomb. Thank you God for Artists like you!!

I even remember the jacket... You still look great!!!

  • Oh my goodness! This is Nanci in Hawaii! Hope you and the Mister are doing well. Thanks for checking in. As I recently remarked in a post about this clip: "Ah, to be young again ... no gray, no bald spot ... fewer "X's" in the shirt size!"

  • You have what is needed for your ministry!! JESUS!! Go see our little Miki singing the national anthem on HaileyCas it's baby Haileys youtube space.. She's gonna have a baby in December... I love you and Elena... Still waiting for you to get here..
