a way you can see the blast radius of tnt is to make a peice of tnt attached to redstone in a gloss cube

To mine with TNT neatly, dig a hole two blocks deep and place a block of TNT. Then skip two blocks and place another block of TNT. Placing TNT that way will result in an explosion destroying only a 3x3x3 area.

Did the Minecraft Wikipedia not exist back in March? Why go through all this trial and error when the information you seek is readily available on the Internet? I've got a page up right now that gives me all the information he found out through an episode's experimentation and quite a bit more besides. I guess I just don't understand why one would not use all the resources at available to them.

I think the only use for Slime Balls in Minecraft is in SDK's Gun mod, where they are used to make Sticky-Grenades (Semtex's)

If you log off with mobs being drowned and then log back in, the game will "move" the mob into a safe spot. I ran into a creeper inside my base once because of this. lol

a coold idea i thought of is that because tnt wont blow up in water you could drop it into the pit and hopefully it will make it down and blow up the unwanted mobs and chickens but it will be risky so i suggest u test it with the world backed up just incase it destroys the hard work.

Yes, TNT is truly awesome... you can do anything with it, even securing dungeons! Make a hole above the spawner, place a TNT in it, touch it and the spawner is gone.

I don't think you're being scientific enough in your TNT tests. Sure, there was some coal and redstone left after the blast, but since you didn't know exactly how much coal and redstone there was in all the blocks around the TNT to begin with, you don't know whether *all* the coal or redstone survived...

I think it works the same way as with creeper explosions: it destroys *some* of the blocks and resources, and mines the rest
