  • i think it is no question to create jobs or destroys them, question is that this system can't work.

The key is coming from mathematics and exponential function is condamning the human kind.

Look at the data extraction of oil, these data are SAYING TO ALL THE WORLD that oil has peaked in 2008, it means that we are entering in another human age and there WILL BE NOT ECONOMY RECOVERY AT ALL.( AL Bartlett).

  • in europe is normal that a governement intervents in the markets, supporting thems and creating more expansion.

it's called socialism, but 90% of amerifags cannot even distinguish between socialism and communism.

so enjoy unemployement higher than 10% and a lollish public healt sistem.

  • Würde mich mal interessieren wo und in welcher Position der Autor arbeitet.Aber ja interessant 1 Semester VWL Makroökomonie.Sollte sich jeder mal einbisschen mit befassen.

  • And how do you imagine to pay for police officers, teachers and infrastructure like streets, trains and that stuff without taxes? Grow them on farms?

  • appears someone was paying attention.

  • Obviously through taxation, but you're not getting the point. Those jobs don't produce goods, they're needed, but they don't produce tangible things that we can sell. For instance if you had a state that consisted solely of government workers, it would go bankrupt instantly because there would no one to tax. Infrastructure is a necessity, unfireable teachers, union corruption, and gov fraud are not, e.g. California's current state, dwp, lausd, etc etc.

  • I think this is one of your best videos Mr Berninger! Few talking (just 4,5 minutes), very straight to the important point and at the end you repeat against your point of view. Congratulations! Btw. people are very interesting. They love capitalism on the upside but want to have socialism on the downside. With this video you can destroy that socialism-myth.

  • Youtube should have audio only chanel..we dont need to see you speaking all the time just the sound is sufficient.

  • Our new job is a self appointed one and it is to destroy the government elitists.

  • It is true. The government can not create jobs and sustain them. But here is the bigger truth, ONLY ONE THING CAN CREATE JOBS. Not government, not businesses, not the stock market, not your uncle Frank (unless he has an unlimited supply of money and wants to give it away. The ONLY thing that can create jobs is... are you ready?... this is basic Economics 101......DEMAND. Demand for a product or a service is the only thing that creates jobs. All others, only facilitate employment.

  • This is a very interesting video. Maybe they just need to drag it, and drag it. Timeline To 2012 is the name of the video. Please let me know what do you think.

  • One small problem with your argument. Inefficiency doesn't cause unemployment, the opposite is true. Higher efficiency / productivity and technological advances are directly responsible for rising unemployment levels.

The one country that has "solved" this problem is Japan, where they hire legions of people for socially unproductive work to keep unemployment levels low. In effect, paying people to do nothing so they can continue to consume.

  • I understand your argument, but I believe its a different topic!

Especially Japan is an example of creating unemployment in a crisis through spending money, no?

  • Same in Italy.

  • Thanks for sharing your wisdom with us, every video is educational and you only teach us fundamental facts.

  • I really enjoy you saying "enjoy your coffee", as usually i tune in at around midnight :) Good vids, keep it up!

  • good points, thank you Dr.Berninger, please keep the videos coming.

  • @weka

    Well thanks.

Why then don´t you write det ? Must be french influence in English language, no ?

  • Interesting how my comment has been downgraded by the youtube community! Well done! Actually, the intent behind the comment was to help correct one of the few mistakes you make with your spoken English. If you are not interested in improving your language skills, that's fine. On the other hand, it's very difficult to get fluent in a language - even if you want to - when people hear mistakes but say nothing!

Why not det? Because we would have to change the spelling every 50 years! :O)

  • I couldn't agree with you more. Government is a necessary evil, but economically speaking, every government action or job is a burden on the wealth-producing taxpayers because it is there money, which could be re-invested into the market, that has to be taken away in taxes in order to pay for goverment actions or jobs. You're absolutely right, and I wish other people were aware of that. I hope people are really getting this because it's fundamental to many of the issues we face.

  • Taxation. Correct me if I am wrong. In the US, all taxes go to paying the interest on the debt.

Any spending by the government is borrowed from the central bank.

In Eupope it is the same. All government spending is factored. right?

  • I sometimes hear that the government has borrowed a number of billion euros.

Is that from the central bank, or from private citizens, or from both?

  • As far as I understand it. Governments borrow from the central banks using taxes as collateral. Taxes come into the government and the banks are paid first.

    Complete financial control.

  • As i understand it the gov borrowes money from the central banks using THE SWEAT OF YOUR BROW as collateral and they do pay the banks first.TAXES have always been and still are today the sweat of YOUR BROWE THEY LIVE OFF OF YOU as they did off of your grand parents and your parents and there GREED knows no end whiche has brought them to where they are today, the good news is theyve been seen and the spotlight is not comming off of them welcome to the species and not the CORPORATION.

  • Indeed, I hear things are pretty bad over where you are?

  • Wow, that was a heavy number.

It's going to take a bit to get my head around govt, actually destroying jobs when they're actually trying to create them.

  • @KiaOra53

They are not trying to create jobs. They are trying to cook the frog slowly...

  • Thanks for reporting in a way I can understand. 5 stars.

  • WHAT? Government makes lots of jobs! Of course they are all government jobs that increase the bloated bureaucracy, but hey, the tax payers wanted more jobs so thats what we got. We should have just clarified what we wanted. Honest government, now there is an oxymoron.

  • This seems contrary-

I would think the more people working, the more taxes paid and the stronger the countrys economy.

Perhaps, despite the dislike and a lower standard of living, maybe the new trade deals with China will work and create strength.

I am willing to work for less than to have nothing at all.

  • Thanks for reporting.

  • Agreed.

  • Hi jberni

I have noticed that in the last 2 years , Millions of regular average Americans are buying weapons and preparing for battle

The clock is ticking and it is just a matter of time before everything hits the fan big time

Just thought that you would like to know

  • Shhhhhh! No, that's just a rumor.....

    Were sheep, remember?

We would never attack the treasoners entrapping the kids at a peace rally, gassing and beating them.... Were all apathetic and only obey and think what were told....

    Baaaaa

I wish we could just get this over with and get things going again....It's getting very tiring......

  • government spending could be bad i think because that money is tax money or borrowed money.

Tax money is taken away from citizens so that citizens might not spend that on economic good investments. I heard less tax might spur economy, because spending is increased. Borrowed money spent by government is not good because civilians have to pay it back with interest eventually. Never mind to tell you i had something like a C- for economy in school.

  • 16 former Soviet Union republics holding a summit

top topic is total and complete abandonment of the dollar Death to oppressors of humanity

  • Jobs in the U.K.

    Government is creating jobs NOT!!!!!!!!!

As in the US and U.K. manufacturing has been decimated through lack of support of governments. Support goes to Banks and stock markets.

The working classes have already been forgotten the middle class are now feeling the pitch, service industries that replace manufacturing are going aboard and the well paid jobs are fewer.

Our once proud and highly skilled work forces are being flushed down the pan.

    O happy days.

  • Time to wake up

  • nfw is right.

  • Google: Charlie Rose November 15th 1994 Sir James Goldsmith interview. About GATT and NAFTA consequences. He predicted the job loss the wwelfare and government jobs state and the destruction of our economy. 55 minutes but well worth it.

  • The U.K; Lets go back to 2008. Barrel of oil about $140 US (high) Fuel in U.K. at the pumps £5.40 p/gal (about $9.50 US) 2009 Barrel of oil about $76 US to day Fuel in U.K. at the pumps £4.95 p/gal (about $8.24 US) £3.15 p/gal is tax (about $5.24 US) I think Tuesday next week tax on fuel will go up again. £3.25 p/gal (5.41 US). My cofffee is not tasting good.
  • That piggy bank in the background... are you sending "subliminable" messages Mr Berninger? :)

BTW, another bad result of taxation is that people will give less to charity, because they have less to give from. Thankless parasites get to keep my money through legalized coercive extortion.

My coffee was great, as usual. Thank you.

  • It also reduces people's ability to save for their retirement as does inflation. Inflation causes people to have to navigate risky investments to try to keep up with inflation. Inflation is the biggest evil governments do (besides human rights issues).

  • Not really - but yes - I do not remove them when I make the videos

  • It's good to hear someone who understands the problem. I'm hearing a lot of "the cooperations are the enemy" talk. What do you say to that? ... if you would be so kind in answering. Thanks - Love your analysis.

  • Jberni...right on the money...as usual.

Government = parasite with never ending power and budgets.

    Destroys all...

  • @Doobsta

What then should you do with a parasite?

  • I would love to see it SQUASHED!!

Once it goes away we can have a stateless society...

Zero Point Energy can finally come out and people can work together and collaborate to make EVERYONES lives improve.

    No more economic slavery...

  • Do you think we could give the new money sytem a chance?

Would it be possible to accept new trade with China to create jobs here?

    Can civil war be avoided?

I don't think zero point energy alone can solve the problem.

I think if we gave it a chance and if every american pulled together to realize, accept and conform to help one another in creating jobs with job sharing while those who don't normally work participate too, I think we can save the ship! End the wars and stop spending!

  • @doobsta

I mark you're comments down by mistake

    sorry

Jb is right on the money 5*****

  • Good video, thank you

  • our economy is over here in US the only jobs out there are low paying min. wage jobs. i had a decent job 50k-75k what am i going to do go work at walmart and take a 75% paycut? something big is coming if obama is saying were in for a double dip.

  • Kollige edjicatered here.....

The blue collar environment is biased against the educated. The don't even hire in warehouses if they think your "one of them". It's like a secret pledge to only support other blue collar workers.

This is why I like the idea of China buying US goods. I can't think of anything we make other than cars though..... Even if Government Motors cut the wage, I would still take it in a heartbeat!

  • dont really understand your point, as im a blue collar worker or i should say i was pre-obama. just because your blue collar doesnt mean you make $8 an hour. i worked in the oil field and earned my 50-75K depending on how much time i took off.

  • I see. That is very fortunate to have oppotunities like that including the old days of the autoworkers. I know some who earned as much as 100K/year

What I mean to say, is if you had a Bachelors Degree and tried to apply for a warehouse job, they tend not to hire the "soft hands". They think you are incapable of knowing what physical labor is and can't "cut it".

    Regards-

  • got to admit we did the same thing your truck/tools/hands were your resume. it comes form all the suits and ties getting paid too much for what they do. i have a lot of friends who were traders that lost everything now they have zero job skills, without a diverse job history it can make obtaining employement hard.

  • I agree. I have a degree and I always get that hateful spewing from those who never went to college regarding my education as being "a waste" or something. Actually, I used my degree for many years working in social services so it served me well. Some blue collar workers need to get over their bitterness.

  • yes....unfortunately i think the gov knows this....i believe it is their intent........tkx for the post......

  • Good message today!

I always find myself making a cup of joe when I see a new vid by jberni1 in my subs. I don't know.. I just don't want to be without my cup when he tells me to enjoy my coffee!!

    Well done.. 5 stars :)

  • Here in the UK we have gov jobs on steroids. Those gov jobs are as overseerers eg in th Health Services. The jobs created have gone to malcontents who hate and loathe those qualified professionals in the Health Service. Here in Sefton PCT,they have gone as far as demanding that doctors work in slum conditions-they they have the audacity to say they are unable to employ doctors.Come on Americans KICK out the commies!

  • Justj::::

I have to disagree, the doctors get paid up to10 times the money of other vocational workers who have endure much greater hardships which are not "Slum conditions", this is a gross misrepresentation of a doctors life in the UK health system.

Looking back the NHS does now deliver a good level of patient care! the problems that are left surround academics and incompetant administive baggage making ineffective strategic decisions.

  • A gang of thieves writ large. Rothbard

  • More tax and paper-shuffler jobs, no? Non-productive for sure though

  • Yes thats very true.

Goverment take money from the successful companys to give it to unsuccessful companys.

They take money from hardworking people to give it to idle people.

They punished me for my hardworking, so I work no more so hard. I am not an idiot !

    Greetings from Germany

  • The "funny" part is that is exactly what everybody is doing arround the world.

    Good video.

  • Thank you.

  • We are indeed enjoying our coffee. Hey, next time you do a vid in front of your bookcase, would you put a few recommended reads on the shelf for us to check out? I was reading some of the titles, so put your favorites up there. Thanks.

  • Excellent point and great video. BIG GOVERNMENT really does equal a small economy. America is proving that point every day. As long as Americans keep being fooled into voting for the two party system, they can rest assured that government will continue to GROW and GROW.

  • intervene in the market

  • although the government may create jobs in one sector, it does that at the expense of the whole economy, but most people do not notice the loss to the other sectors of the economy and do not think through the relationships between this and tax and national debt because it does not affect anyone directly. the way that governments do this is to distance the cause of he problem from the problem

  • this crises is the 9/11 of capitalism, it is engineered to bring everything down in order to let those who did it to come up with their desired solutions to be put in place (one currency, world government, NWO-New World Order). if people wont look at the big picture, they wont get whats going on!

  • My coffee always tastes better when I'm listening to a genius at work.

  • Most Americans are uneducated about basic economics. They are detached due to their lack of understanding of the issue or intellectual laziness. Either way, it is bad for America to go so far in debt and expand an ineffective government even more.

  • a pipe dream: there is a government bubble that will pop and never return

  • great and simple insight : we have a GOVERNMENT BUBBLE on a global scale

    WOW !

  • Hey faces, I couldn't find your new channel. Glad you commented so i could use it to sub the new one. I'm kind of youtube illiterate if you couldn't tell.

  • This is the truth! Thank you for posting this message. Our Obamabots will likely dismiss what you say and replace it with some ridiculous rationalization to prove you wrong... I have never seen such SHEEP in my entire life! Cheers!

  • buzizzy -

The 0bamabots and the 0bamatrons are really just a rabid subset of the collectivists, aren't they? Damn them all. Damn the blasted coercion.
