What`s the destined powerplant?

The Me 109 was in service here in Spain till 1969, not with the original BMW engine but with a Rolls, because lack of spares for the BMM. The take off needed full right foot, easy on the rudder a little, full right rudder again, in very fast order...just to keep the plane on line with runway...Lazzlo, if you plan to fly it, watch it. And good luck.

VERY NICE!! It's so funny to see another guy with the same kind of twisted brain I have!! I was going to build a full scale Bf-109 to sit in my yard, and my interest in that led me to RC planes, where I am now FULLY immersed! I do hope to get back to the Messerschmitt project one of these days, though-

Very impressive, are you using balsa cored ply skins as used on the DuCros Spitfire? What powerplant are you going with? This is a great project, just make sure you've got your dancing shoes on the rudder bar for that first take-off! Keep up the good work, guys!

I think the main problem will be the inverted engine layout of the DB with all its variants and license build versions...they are pretty rare, therefore I think it will stay static or it will have a different look...like the AVIA S199 or the HA 1112 Buchon

What motor will be used?

We plan on using a Mazda Rotary - Wankel engine around 300Hp.

The whole plane will weigh in at around between 700-800kg as take off weight
