Couple grand more to run 10s? you will need at least 10gs for supporting mods to even achieve 10s without blowing the tranny or anything else in the motor.
I spend 1200 for a stroker kit for my chevy 350 and made it a 383, and it did high 11s, low 12s. Had rear end ratio changed and added slicks i was doing low 11s. Then added supercharger, and some supporting mods and im doing mid 10s. Not that much money invested into it if you think about it. Hondas requires alot more then that to do 10s.

not exactly true man. I got my 83 mustang for 500 dollars. I am both a muscle car guy and a tuner guy, i have a 93 del sol a mustang, and owned a camaro. The mustang has the cheapest parts of them all. I respect both tuners and muscle but it takes alot of time and work to make a 4 cylinder run with the fast v8s. then when the 4 is that fast it is squeezin everylast drop of hp out of that motor while the v8 has almost endless potential. theres v8's with over 3000hp i have yet to see a 4 with that

D16 turbo at the drags last saturday running consistent 15s, sorry. LS1 Camaro with 6 speed runs low 13s stock, 160+ mph top speed. The Camaro in this video was definitely an auto, possibly an LT1 not LS1, and did a horrible job launching the car. Race that Civic against a '98 LS1 6 speed Camaro with a good driver and you won't even see the Civic after about 10 seconds.
with stock internals non turbo or something wrong with that car, I wasn't saying the civic couldn't loose but I see most running 12s to 13s boosted on stock internals.

Muscle cars costs less to do those times. So where you're from has more ricers then muscle cars, doesnt mean you can come here and brag about shit. Funny drag cars has V8s, Nascar has V8s, Fastest stock drag cars has V8s. I can spend 5gs, and im doing 11s in my Camaro. Cant do that with a Honda. I spend 1200 for a stroker kit for my chevy 350 and made it a 383, and it did high 11s, low 12s. Had rear end ratio changed and added slicks i was doing low 11s. Then added supercharger, and some supporting mods and im doing mid 10s. Not that much money invested into it if you think about it. Hondas requires alot more then that to do 10s.

@friesngravy actually there is a turbocharged d16(sohc) that puts down 9's on a quarter mile and probably cost less to build than building almost anything else to run that fast. not tryin to be a smart ass lol unless you're talking about just turboing a stock engine then yes i agree with you lol

not exactly true man. I got my 83 mustang for 500 dollars. I am both a muscle car guy and a tuner guy, i have a 93 del sol a mustang, and owned a camaro. The mustang has the cheapest parts of them all. I respect both tuners and muscle but it takes alot of time and work to make a 4 cylinder run with the fast v8s. then when the 4 is that fast it is squeezin everylast drop of hp out of that motor while the v8 has almost endless potential. theres v8's with over 3000hp i have yet to see a 4 with that

D16 turbo at the drags last saturday running consistent 15s, sorry. LS1 Camaro with 6 speed runs low 13s stock, 160+ mph top speed. The Camaro in this video was definitely an auto, possibly an LT1 not LS1, and did a horrible job launching the car. Race that Civic against a '98 LS1 6 speed Camaro with a good driver and you won't even see the Civic after about 10 seconds.

Can't say I'm surprised. Kinda funny though. An exhaust system does almost nothing for those Z28's unless you do headers and a Y pipe at the same time. It's a difference of a 1whp gain to a 40whp gain...lol. The intake maybe added 10-15whp.
