This is truly an interesting ad. It has so much going on at so many different levels that its hard to know where to start. First, let's look at imagery.
We see this book, the same one we see all the time. You know the one, it's in all the book stores, up in the front on the store. Its got a smiling politician, a nice big white one-word title, and and some sort of golden-looking seal on the cover. But have you ever seen someone reading said book? No.
Bush is probably gonna get some free oil for using our money to rebuild Iraq. But I don't think that oil money will be going to our country. What a nice way to cover your criminal activity.
08AMA should win The President because he has GREAT VIEWS & BETTER JUDGEMENT.
PRESIDENT MATERIAL...very intelligent, can work most definitely under pressure, more calm and assertive dealing foreign countries, more honest candidate. He put 100 times more effort than any other candidate.
1: good ad make more like them 2: on the Goergia issue Obama should have stuck with his original position Goergia was the aggresser it attacked south Osetia first just watch an interview on Fox where this 12 girl who was in South Osetia said it was Goergian bombs that hit first and that the Russians protected her. i know Russia took advantage of the situation but Obama must not be affriad of giving a nuanced response and not fall for McCains showboating
Good job Senator!!! Hit em on the issues and hit em HARD. This presidential election is a referendum on George Bush, his policies, and the continuation of those policies by McBush. This election is not a referendum on Obama. Love the commercial.
"Hands," "Book," and "We're In It Together" are the best ads this Campaign has run... Itr puts the mind to rest with sound debate and good representation....
These ads are bad because they put an awareness of John McCain into people's heads, instead of awareness that voting for John McCain is bad.
Most people don't really listen to the message, so they'll see "John McCain" and "economy" and come away from this associating John McCain with knowing more about the economy.
I would say though, that the immediate first line after Economics by John McCain is "support Bush 95% of the time", takes any doubt of McCain knowing anything about the economy.
Indeed. To hell with those who think that the Democrats care for the poor! Lets hear it for the reality that the Democrats rely on the poor for votes, but put in the programs of the middle class college elites. In this commercial this is represented by taxing oil companies, thereby raising the price of gas, which makes middle class liberals feel good (Yeah! Take that, ExxonMobile!) but which is disproportionately paid for by the poor.
An excellent ad. Keep these type of ads coming and you will win for sure. McBush knows nothing about the Economy. I really loved the ending with "Middle Class First"
I hope somebody working for the Obama Campaign will read the following message and think about it: "Hands" and "Book" are the best Ads you have ever made. They are clear, full of issue-oriented attacks against the opponent and reveal a lot of information about your plans for our country. I hope deep in my heart that you will keep on making this kind of Ads. BRAVO !!!
Should have also mentioned that McCain voted against extending tax credits for Wind and Solar 8 times - and he has the nerve to put windmills in his tv ads!

Informative and well presented.
As Democrats our biggest problem this election will be disseminating the truth to the electorate as the press and talking heads try to confuse it.

I would hope so. I'd hate to think some kid in a garage had churned that out while the people in McCain's camp are hiring professional spinmeisters.
